”We stayed at Yadotu Kyoto Hanare for 6 days and it was amazung!! This place is truly extraordinary - you get lots of space, full comfort and luxury in real, authentic Japanese way. It was a real pleasure to come back to this wonderful home after a long day filled with fantastic experiences. We are very thankful for having the opportunity to stay here. It made our adventure in Japan even more unforgettable. I would highly recommend this amazing place.”

”Very modern and sleek lobby and hallways but more traditional looking rooms, though with a modern flare. This is not a cute old-style ryokan. It's a super modern hotel tucked into a quiet, perfectly-located neighborhood that deceptively has a ton of shops and restaurants. The rooms are spacious and clean, staff helpful.”

”Beautiful hotel with Japanese garden connected to the room. Matcha room has private outdoor soaking tub over looking garden. Very zen atmosphere! 15 minute cab ride from Kyoto station in local neighborhood.”

”Our stay at the Shijo Takakura Hotel grandreverie was great! It was the most memorable room of our trip to Japan, a great design and lots of space. The stone shower and bathtub were especially luxury. The staff was incredibly attentive. It's the one place we'd immediately go again!”

”Excellent staff in all departments, very helpful and courteous. Club access was a real feature, hotel is very close to the subway so transport was really easy to areas in Kyoto and beyond. It’s easily walkable to the market, shopping areas and Gion. Vast range of restaurants within walking distances.”
”This is listed as a 3 star hotel. It is not. It is the most luxurious hotel we’ve stayed at, including 5 star properties. The room was amazing. The location was perfect. Although everyone in Japan seems extraordinarily nice, the staff here beat even that standard. There was not one second of our time at this property that wasn’t perfect. 10/10. ”

”My wife and I traveled to Kyoto as part of our first trip to Japan and we both agreed, without a doubt Villa Sanjo Muromachi was a - of not the - highlight of our trip. A beautiful boutique hotel with spacious rooms, beautifully decored that make you feel right at home in the heart of historic and charming Kyoto. We opted to have breakfast served to our room and specifically the Japanese version which we did not regret. The service is top notch and especially the bartender. First rate cocktails...

”Room was spotless. Very spacious. Value for money is amazing. All staff were friendly and helpful. Location is great being close enough to all the fun but also a bit further away from the crowds and noise. Highly recommend this hotel. ”

”Very spacious and clean rooms, having a washing machine and dryer inside the room was a huge bonus. The neighborhood is walkable and in a safe area. Front desk staff was extremely welcoming, polite, warm, and most of all professional. Above and beyond my expectations, we truly feel welcomed and at home. Thank-you”
"The hotel is located nicely in the middle of a shopping area and not too far from 2 different subway lines. Only downside with the location is that a taxi cant really get right infront of the hotel but it's not a long walk (3 minutes) from the closest drop off location.
Checking in and out is easy and quick with the self service desks and there is staff to help if you require assistance.
Didnt have much interraction with the staff except for one at reception and the cleaning staff of the floor and all were very friendly.
Only downside (for me) was how hard the bed was but that's a preference thing.
With all that said unless the hotel prices itself out it will stay on my radar for when I come to Kyoto again (6 days is not enough!)."
