”Partly renovated hotel. Room looked nice but our white socks where dirty after walking in the ”

”Unexpectedly had to pay a $100 "deposit" supposedly just a "hold" not a "charge" not something I had planned for. Checking in about midnight after a delayed flight - quite a rude awakening. Reservation clerk was not friendly or personable - more like a cop! Room including bathroom was vey clean (small). I thought my reservation was for 2 queen beds - we got 2 double beds. Hallway carpet looks like it has seen better days. We did not use pool. ”

”Amber was amazing. We came in after hours and she had our room opened for us. She is super friendly and communicated with us throughout our travels making sure we were ok and understanding the check in process. The room was super clean, beds were very comfortable and bathrooms spotless. We will be returning”

”We checked in late at night and found that both windows were open. All rooms are on the first floor. We tried closing and locking the windows but were unable to. I called the front desk and informed them that windows were open and don’t lock. The response was that the windows were open to “air out” the room, that nothing could be down about the windows at that time and that we were in a very safe area. We slept with chairs and a table propped up against the windows to alert us if someone tried...

”Room was filthy—makeup smudges on the walls and hair in the shower that wasn’t ours. Everyone around us was also extremely sketchy. When we tried to call the front desk, the phones in the room didn’t work. But the front desk was very kind when we walked in to ask for a clean room, and tried to help switch rooms. We were sort of made to feel like that wasn’t possible but zero chance of staying in a filthy room. Would definitely not stay here again until housekeeping is addressed.”

”This place is just amazing. It’s so cozy and welcoming. Gretchen and Keith are wonderful and just the sweetest couple. We can’t wait to come back for another adventure and hang out with Dulce again. Breakfast was to die for. I wish I’d had room to eat it all.”

”I am updating this because Expedia rightfully issued me a refund after confirming the situation, but travelers need to be warned. During my stay, the entire hotel completely ran out of soap. The staff confirmed they had zero soap on the property. This is a major health and safety hazard. Since this hotel serves a complimentary breakfast, a total lack of soap means employees handling food and cleaning rooms cannot wash their hands. It is a violation of basic lodging and food codes. I am grateful...

”Pros - staff - distance to the pier Cons - loud gatherings outside at 6a even with the noise restriction from 10p-8a. - to go up to our room you had to walk by a group on the first floor and their cloud of cigarette smoke. - could be a little cleaner (dusty lights by bed, not clean under bed) - yes, there is train noise (shakes the to at times) but that’s not the hotels fault, it’s the location. I wouldn’t stay there again.”

”Host seemed annoyed that we reserved through Expedia. There were only two couples staying in the place and she stuck us both upstairs next to each other. We asked if another room was available but she said that because we reserved through Expedia she couldn’t switch our room. Didn’t make much sense. The place has a lot of character, but we wish the owner was more friendly/welcoming. Also, food was mediocre. It has been much better in past visits here. It’s like we were an annoyance to her this...

”The room was clean, the beds were good, and the property was safe. However breakfast consisted of apples and bananas that were out 24/7 and milk, orange juice. So don't go for the breakfast.”

”A charming old inn at the top of Kennebunk. Great location with a breakfast spot just behind them, which is a favorite to the locals. Also fun to stop and watch pickle ball next door!”

”The room was clean, bathroom was clean but shower drains slow, soft towels, great water pressure, parking was easy, beds were ok. The front desk was not staffed at all times so check in was slowish, I needed to call and checkout before 8am they didn’t have anyone at the desk which made it confusing on where to put the keys. ”
