”We really enjoyed this rental home. The location was great for exploring Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park as it was about 10 minutes to Acadia entrance and around 18 minutes to Bar Harbor. You felt like you were in country but still very close to everything. The home was very clean and beds were comfortable.It was such a nice treat to be welcomed with a basket full of snacks, plenty of coffee and creamer, and a basket of toiletries including tooth brushes and tooth paste. ”Really lovely place, lots of space - much larger than it appears in the photos, and close to everything we wanted to see! I wish we could have stayed there longer.”

”The cabin was clean and comfortable. If you're looking for a quiet place in the woods away from everything else in a corner of Mt Desert Island, this is for you. There is nothing nearby - no restaurants or shops -- but the deck on the top floor looking out to the woods is relaxing and the great room very much so as well. But if what you want is the bustle and vibrancy of Bar Harbor, or even the quieter stroll through Southwest Harbor, this place is far from that.”

”Everything was easy and lovely, but the view says it all! We had coffee in the morning and take-out at night sitting on the deck enjoying the birds and boats on the water immediately in front of us. The host also was immediately and very helpfully responsive to our requests. We are already thinking of a return visit. We loved Maine!”

”Quietside Cottage was in a great location, just a short walk to Southwest Harbor (shops and restaurants). The home was fine (sunporch great), but needs some maintenance to make it great. Communication with the manager was very good and their digital guide best I have seen.”
