Private Waterfront Home on Lake Michigan

Relax at this beautiful 5-bedroom, 3-bathroom Lakehouse on the shores of Lake Michigan, a true “up north” escape. The main house includes four cozy bedrooms and all three bathrooms, with a spacious fifth bedroom in a private loft above the garage.

One of the most beloved features of this home is its private beach access just steps away, offering a peaceful and secluded spot to relax, swim, or take in the breathtaking views. Visitors can’t get enough of the double-height living room with oversized windows that frame stunning lake views, or cozying up by the fireplace.

Guests rave about the custom kitchen with Miele appliances, perfect for preparing family meals, and the second-floor living area, where they can unwind with a book while overlooking the lake. Outside, the deck with a dining table and grill leads to a large bluestone patio, one of the most cherished spots to sip coffee in the morning or enjoy a sunset glass of wine. A few steps down, the sandy shoreline awaits, where guests love to relax and play on the beach, take long walks, or simply soak in the beauty of Lake Michigan.

Sustainability is important to us, and guests appreciate the high-speed EV charger in the garage, available for complimentary use.

We look forward to returning next year

This home and the property are first class. Perfect for a summer vacation for large families. There is plenty of room to move around, and different spot to sit, both inside and out. The location is ideal, right between the towns of Northport and Leland. I would say that the best features of this property are the unmatchable views of the lake and the sunsets, from inside the house and out in the backyard.Two things I would hope to see improved before we arrive next year are the path and the stairs down to the beach. It's a very short walk, and not too steep, which is great. But, there are some issues with the condition of the path, the stairs and the "handrails". This is not a complicated fix. For a beach house of this quality I'm betting that the repairs will be made over the winter.

Great Michigan trip

We had such a wonderful family trip! Great location being 10 minutes from Lealand, Northport and Sutton’s Bay, but was very private. The house was perfect for us. The outdoor living spaces were the best- porch with a dining table and grill, a fire pit and access to the beautiful beach. The kitchen was well stocked which was very nice. We had a newly turned 1 year old with us, and they had a nice pack and play, clip on high chair and some toys she enjoyed. Andrew and Faith were easy to work with and answered any questions we had promptly. This is a great house and I would highly recommend it.

Magical Michigan Stay.

We spent a wonderful week at this beautiful property. The home is pretty, very well maintained, and comfortable. The views and the beach are amazing. Our little ones loved playing in the creek that fed out to the lake. Our teens enjoyed paddle boarding and kayaking. We enjoyed amazing sunsets and an Eagle display everyday. The Eagle's would fish right in front of the cottage and our daughter got amazing pictures. Our grandson said that he felt like he was in movie, because it was all so magical and beautiful. There is no light pollution so star gazing is excellent. You can walk the beach forever looking for ,and finding, both Petosky Stones and Leland Blues. The grandkids are taking their many treasures back to Virginia. We hope to return and want to thank Andrew for clear communication and information regarding our stay. We rent every year and this property is our new favorite.

Great place for family vacation

Our family enjoyed our stay at this property. It was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the location and view cannot be beat! There was plenty of space for our group of 8. A few things to be aware of: the shades in the bedrooms do not provide much darkness (a little challenging this time of year when the days are long) and there is really only a/c on the main level of the house. Fans and opening windows worked just fine as it was not hot, but it is something to be aware of. None of this took away from the magic of this place, however. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Birthday surprise/ family reunion/ Christmas

Wonderful! Cold and snowing, but we had an amazing time! The house was beautiful! We opted to sleep on the sofa and now brave going outside to access the loft, but the sofa was wide and comfortable. This was a personal based on the amount of snow that was falling. The roads were kept open by frequent plowing. The Christmas tree and lights made our holiday complete! It was truly a winter wonderland!

Beautiful, modern, lakefront home.

The lake house is beautiful! The tree canopied drive back the driveway, especially with the Fall colors, was magical. The first glimpse of the beautiful house with a view through the front door out to the lake was stunning. Everything in the house has been updated as the house was remodeled in 2022. The view of the lake from the living room is amazing. Only positive things to say about the setting, house, view, and interaction with the owner.

Summer Vacation

A stunning home, recently updated. The property offers a lot of privacy with direct access to a beautiful beach. The surrounding area is my favorite part of Michigan with plenty of activities to do. Andrew is professional and a great communicator, he was very responsive any time I reached out. Will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful house and beachfront

Beautiful renovated lake house with amazing views of the water. Everything was very clean and the host was extremely responsive and helpful. We all loved the lovely private beach and the patio/fire pit area was very nicely set up. One of the nicest houses we've stayed in! My only note is that only one bedroom has an on suite bath and the 5th bedroom is accessed only through a separate outdoor entrance (which is nice for privacy but could be an issue depending on your group configuration). Thank you to our hosts for having us!

Beautiful Modern Lake House

We loved our winter holiday break at this amazing property! Everything was as shown in the pictures: lovely interior, terrific views and private space outside to enjoy and explore. The Lake Michigan beach was beautiful but icy, so we walked up and down the private road and admired the birch trees. Easy drives to Suttons Bay, Leland and Northport and good trip to Sleeping Bear where we found it easier to hike on the semi-frozen dunes.

The best

We have done many VRBO rentals and this was quite possibly the overall best that we have experienced. Great house; great location; GREAT view of Lake Michigan; very private yet accessible to everything in Leelanau County. The master bedroom king bed was the most comfortable we’ve had in a rental and rivaled our own. Our hosts were beyond gracious and responsive to any and all questions or concerns. We would go back any time.

A Perfect Lake Michigan Beach House Vacation

This beautiful house with wonderful beach on Lake Michigan was perfect for our family of eight. The beach was private and the water was beautiful and perfect for swimming, and watching the eagles flying by daily added a special treat. The house was spacious and modern, very comfortable for our family. The back yard with grill and fire pit were used daily as well. Overall a wonderful vacation, highly recommended.

Checks all of the boxes

Situated between the charming up north towns of Northport and Leland, the property is exactly what we were looking for. Quiet seclusion on the big lake, and ample things to do if we chose so. The home is beautiful, updated, and clean. More than enough space for our family of five to spread out. The property is secluded in the woods, and the view on the lake side is spectacular, as expected when staying on Lake Michigan. Our boys enjoyed finding Petoskey stones on the beach, hiking at Clay Cliffs and Houdek dunes, and playing football in the back yard. We enjoyed reading, watching the resident bald eagles, wood fired pizza in Northport and the Cove in Leland. Sleeping bear dunes is only a 40 minute drive and there is lots of shopping in between. Hosts Andrew and Kelley were helpful and communicative during our stay. We rent cottages every year up north, and this property checks all of the boxes. We cannot recommend it enough.
