”Ash Farm is a quaint bed and breakfast off the beaten track but close to all the amenities of Altrincham. Next door is a great pub; The Swan with 2 nicks. Within walking distance is Dunham Massey park. The bedroom was clean, comfortable and quiet. A great retreat compared to the hustle and bustle of city hotels. The breakfast is a 5 star experience and has something for everyone. Obviously the Full English wins every day. The staff are wonderful and friendly making the whole experience first...

8. The Bridge

Macclesfield

”Staff are lovely, very helpful and friendly plus the breakfast scrambled eggs were delicious. However the property is a little tired looking. My specific room was very dark as several ceiling bulbs had gone and the bedside lights were extremely dim so difficult to read by them. Also both the mirrors were very high. I’m 5.3 and could only see top of my head in the bathroom mirror. These things could be easily fixed.”

Chester

”The hotel seemed pretty sophisticated and the building was charming. The room was pretty small, but still had the essentials (bathroom, some snacks, tea, TV). Bed wasn't necessarily nice for a tall person, but other than that I slept okay, even though the walls were paper-thin (I would say maybe not the best option for light-sleepers). Shower was really hard to work out and eventually I had to take a bath instead - which wasn't the best option, but better than nothing. The room was clean and the...

”I spent one night at the Throstles Nest Hotel. The room was a bit small, but it contained everything I needed (a bed and a water source). Of course, it would have made the stay more pleasant if the toilet and the shower had not been placed in the corridor, but all in all, this hotel was a good experience. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was in a walking distance from Anfield and Goodison park that were the main attractions for me.”
