The house was so dirty upon our arrival: towels had blood stains on it; we had to clean the sheets (smell of mold); the kitchen (not been cleaned for many many days or week) and there was dust on everything. The place is dusty but while regularly cleaned it would have been fine. There is no dining table, the kitchen is very poorly equipped. I have travelled in many South African, African and Asian country and never have I rented a place so poorly...

If you need local insights and super hospitality then go with Jason. The location is in a quiet local neighbourhood and it feels safe to have kids running around outside. ”We had a great stay at this property. Very private, and a short drive to Playa Junquillal (which we loved). Beatrice was a wonderful host and responsive to any questions we had. Directions to the house were clear and accurate. Kitchen had everything we needed. Three AC units all functioned well. The outdoor shower is an amazing feature! Totally different from busy, heavily-touristed areas like Tamarindo. Recommended!”

”This property was everything we expected. The in-house chef with breakfast every morning was amazing. It was such a treat! She stays in her own place and you don't even notice she's there but she appears with a wonderful breakfast at your preferred time. We even paid extra for her to make dinner the night we arrived which was absolutely delicious. The ocean view here has spoiled me. You can also see it from 3 of the bedrooms. The only thing we wished for was access to the beach from this...
