”Excellent onsen hotel right at the end of the first day of the Kohechi Kumano Kodo pilgrimage trail. I came for the onsen and mountain seclusion, but they had such good maps of the Kohechi at the front desk that I decided to walk back to Koyasan the day I checked out. It’s about 20km through the mountains from Nosegawa Onsen to Koyasan, walking on a mix of well-kept trails and paved roads; overall, a moderately difficult hike with very good signage. ”Apologies that we arrived late at hotel an hour after the dinner time. Thanks hotel owner offered to servie us late dinner! We stayed at hotel for 2 days with half-boarding. The room was exceptionally clean, modern and equipped with all amenities. They served varieties of teas and desserts in room. We loved their tea congee, and chicken hot pot. So glad we chose to stay with them to explore Yoshino! Definitely a 5-star! Highly recommended! ”
