Your next beach getaway awaits. When staying at My Three Buoys, beach access is a simple two-minute walk away. Relish in being able to make any day a beach day! Other entertainments, dining, and sightseeing opportunities are also within quick walking distance. Be sure to check out the Oak Island Golf Club (1.2 miles), Oak Island Lighthouse (3.2 miles), and for a day trip, the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher (50 miles).

Truly fueling the adventurer in you, don't miss out on the vast range of outdoor recreational activities this area has to offer! Such as; boating, golfing, kayaking, helicopter rides, tennis, hiking, and so much more.

Little Family Getaway

This is our second stay @ My Three Buoys. It's definally a family favorite. A short walk to the beach or to grab coffee in the morning @ Ruby's. We spent a lot of time on the screened in porch, were able to catch up with the next door neighbors, and soak in the slow pace of Oak Island (prior to the busy season). We truly love this little gem of a house, and can't wait to return.

Wonderful Location

The house was a short walk to the beach, pier, and a few beachside restaurants. Although it rained a bit during our stay, it was a cozy getaway.

Perfect Getaway!!!

This house is perfect, if you dont like climbing alot of steps. It has everything you need. Very quiet neighborhood. Short walk to beach and Oak Island Pier. I would stay here again.

Amazing Property!!

We were blown away by the beauty and convenience of this home. The aesthetic is gorgeous, the size was perfect for our party of 5, and every detail was considered for our comfort. Our kids loved the toys and puzzles and us parents really enjoyed the screened in porch! We hope to return again and again!

Screened porch like being in a treehouse

Well the whole house is cozy and decorated with a beach theme. The kitchen is well supplied and has a dishwasher. My favorite place was the large screened porch that had a wrap around banquet and trees give the impression of being in a treehouse, from the front and down the side It’s walking distance to the pier and beach. Is all on one level and has a walk-in shower. Also no pets allowed. You can’t go wrong with My Three Bouys 👍😊

Comfortable - Easy walk to Beach

I was visiting the area and looking at real estate as I plan to relocate. The home was very comfortable and offered some nice amenities. The one and only downside was that they outdoor fireplace didn't have any propane, so we couldn't take part in hanging outside with that particular ambiance.

2nd time staying here!

We stayed here last year, when this home was managed by a different company, and WOW what a positive difference Vacasa management makes to a vacation experience! Super easy check in & check out, incredibly clean, complimentary dishwasher & washing machine detergent, loved visiting with Tyler when he came by to roll our trash cans out for us, and Christine was great to strategize with regarding the kittens we found. Also, the king bed (which a previous reviewer noted) has been replaced with a new one, a new outdoor shower has been built, and any musty smell (a previous reviewer noted) is completely gone. Everything was super! We had 3 generations with us (ages 8 - 84) and this home was great for everyone. We especially love that it has hardly any stairs, which is unusual for a beach house. Two thumbs up for our 2nd great summer vacation at "My Three Bouys"!

Loved but

Close to beach, clean, nice back yard with plenty of activities like bicycles, sand toys, beach chairs and cart. What I didn’t love was the place had a few major problems that I feel the Owner or rental company was aware of and still rented the place out to us. Vacasa was very helpful and did offer some money back for the electrical problem for dishwasher and garbage disposal not working causing the drain to backup into the dishwasher putting water all over the floor. Also gas fire pit did not work. Outside shower pipe cracked/broken causing rusty water to spray on shirt when washing sand off feet.

Cozy... but, Proceed with Caution:

This house has a picturesque image. A cozy, well decorated, house very near the ocean, plenty of hot water, great location, and awesome outdoor shower and yard. Once you step inside you'll be brought back to the 1970's something charm, along with the never ending wafting odor of mildew. This mildew smell can only be tolerated if you open the side door and whatever windows you can manage to get open. The one plug-in odor eliminator could not mask this. Imagine coming in on Mother's Day, to find bug excrement in the main bedroom bed, the comforters, shams, couches, and rug appear to have had (what we could only imagine was) a wet dirty dog having had rolled joyfully across all of them. After cleaning for a day and a half and keeping the door and a few windows open it was now fit for the somewhat rugged beach stay we'd been expecting. This house is in need of many small home improvement projects and a deeper cleaning that the coming fully booked season would in no way accommodate. We reached out to Vacasa multiple times; the people who texted back were all friendly and promised to "make things right" and "get back to us real soon." Those things did not happen. One representative called midweek, was short, and promised to call back after reaching the owners, no word back. The fixes made on our trip were done so by us. Before renting, I highly suggest reading deeper into all the reviews. Some of our issues, were issues in the past, that both Vacasa, as well as the owners, have been made aware of, without improvements having been made. If you just need a roof over your head, with close proximity to the beach and pier, this may be for you. ((Sent to Vacasa: After reaching out to Vacasa four times, nothing was ever resolved. The following issues were brought to their attention: The house smelled strongly of mildew the entire time. The main bed had bug excrement and hair it in. Leaving us having to wash all the bedding before it could be used. Two of the beds had comforters and shams that were dirty brown instead of white. The three couches and most rugs were stained and very dirty, as well. The firepit did not work at all. There were used cigar butts on the porch ground. The more minor issues with house: The locking mechanism on the front glass door closer is broken/missing. One dining room window was cracked. Many mini blinds not working/missing wands. Utensil drawer had old food and such in it, had to wash all utensils before usable. Many windows do not open. Outdoor plug-in lights barely work. Bugs in hall bathroom. Mildew was very strong in bathroom. We left this place in much better shape than when we arrived.))
