Kaunis talo Óbidosin kylän keskustassa, linnan muurien sisällä, nimeltään "Casa do Candeeiro", joka tarkoittaa "lampputaloa".

Talo on antiikkinen, mutta uusittu, kolme makuuhuonetta, moderni kylpyhuone ja keittiö, takkahuone, patio ja puutarha, jossa grilli ja panoraamanäkymä linnaan.

Näkymä on upea, erittäin viihtyisä paikka, Óbidosin linnan keskustassa.

Vierailijat löytävät talon, joka on täynnä valoa, suurta energiaa ja rauhallinen ympäristö, erityisesti yön aikana.

Mutta jos vieraat haluavat yksityisyyttä, kunnioitan sitä myös!

Naapurusto on aivan täydellinen, talo sijaitsee kylän sydämessä, minuutin päässä pääkadulta, sinun täytyy vain eksyä ...

Pysäköinti on lähellä taloa ja óbidosilta pääset busseille, matkoille, se on myös lähellä monia rantoja ja mielenkiintoisia vierailukohteita.

Vieras saa käyttöönsä koko talon, mikä tarkoittaa heidän tilaa, ilmaista keittiön, olohuoneen, chillin ja ruoanlaittoa puutarhassa ilmaistaen itsensä haluamallaan ;-)

Olen vuorovaikutuksessa vieraiden kanssa niin paljon kuin he haluavat, rakastan mielelläni puhua ja muuttaa ideoita mistä tahansa aiheesta, ja voin olla erittäin hyödyllinen tiedoilla ja suosituksilla, joita vieraat saattavat tarvita, myös koska olen taiteilija, voin jopa jakaa musiikkiani ;-)
Mutta jos vieraat haluavat yksityisyyttä, kunnioitan sitä myös!

The host was amazing with communication and clarity. Very warm and welcoming and thorough. The house next door is labelled with the year 1700. It seems this house is similarly historic, which is amazing to think about. It is fully renovated and has all the modern conveniences, a real gem of a place. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Bed was comfy.

Host was extremely attentive and supportive with an easy check-in process with lockbox access. The host walked us thru the property on the phone and provided various tutorials for the property. The house was historic within the castle walls giving it a relaxed yet authentic ambience. Would recommend this property and host.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at Rodrigo’s home. It is large and comfortable. Rustic in a good way. Especially enjoyed the garden. We used our time to regroup midtrip. We rested, washed clothes, made dinners and sat in the garden. The town center was a few blocks away (though the shops and cafes are mostly timed for the tour buses that come.) we found a large grocery store just outside the walls. Lovely time

It was excellent. The home is spacious and conducive for relaxation. The host is super-responsive to questions & concerns. It is right in the historic hearth of Obidos. The only suggestion I would have would be to provide fans, as the house is not air-conditioned.

Rodrigo was an excellent host providing great directions and meeting us at the rental to show us around and providing helpful video instructions for all appliances. The bed was extremely comfortable, the backyard was a great place to relax during the short window of sunshine while we were there. Rodrigo's restaurant suggestions were spot on. We found Obidos to be charming, especially after most tourists were gone for the day. Walking through the quiet streets after dark was like going back in time. We took day trips to Peniche and Nazarre, both wonderful spots an easy drive away. This was a peaceful stop after time in busy Lisbon. Obrigada!

Amazing stay

Wonderful stay , my wife and I an our 2 teen daughters . Everyone loved it . Plenty of room , great property outside to relax and right in the castle walls. While we did not get to meet Rodrigo in person anything we needed he answered via phone or text almost instantly which was awesome. He helped us out with everything from restaurants to how and where to visit . Would definitely stay again . We had a car and the driving and parking was a little confusing at first but once you figure it out it is very easy again Rodrigo was there on the phone to help us . A must stay if you are in the area

This was a great stay. The apartment was lovely, roomy and well equipped. The host was very responsive and helped us to find the place and orient us to the apartment as well as the area. He sent short videos that explained how to use the utilities in the apartment.

A stay to remember

We loved our six nights in the Obidos Castle. We thoroughly enjoyed day trips to the beach, Peniche, Fatima, Batalha, wine tasting and more. The castle are is busy during the day, but so peaceful at night. Rodrigo was the best host I have had (among many rentals on 3 continents). He met us to show us around and was very helpful in helping us both feel at home and explore the region. This 300 year old house was quirky but charming. Don’t hesitate to book!

Everything I hoped it would be!

I had a few technical issues with service which made it a bit frustrating but Rodrigo was very gracious and helped us through the entire check in making sure we were completely set up. Everything was very well appointed and clean and the back yard was so relaxing and beautiful! We loved our stay and would easily recommend it for a stay that transports you to another world! Great spot for a family

Amazing spot for exploring Óbidos! Our 2 year old loved the garden and the hamac. The house was very clean and Rodrigo is such a thoughtful and considerate host.

Our Stay in the Castle

We had a fantastic stay in our castle on the hill. It was a fun few days staying inside the castle walls and we especially loved wandering the roads toward the end of the day when the crowds had left. Rodrigo the property owner was fantastic to work with. He was on the phone with us as we drove into Obidos, even guiding us on where to park. He even assisted us in fabulous dinner reservations. The apartment is darling and so very cool. We even had a horse drawn carriage drive right underneath our open windows. Only in Obidos. There were only two of us but there is lots of room for a family to enjoy. There is a beautiful little yard that we could have spent the entire week reading and just enjoying. If you are thinking of staying here do it. You will love it. Such a unique experience.

Six stars! Great place for couple or family

If I could rate this 6 stars, I would! Located just inside the Medieval wall surrounding the town of Obidos, the apartment was easily accessible from one of the entrances. Our gracious host, Rodrigo was an excellent communicator prior to our arrival and helped us with our luggage and getting settled. He even offered to make a dinner reservation for us which we greatly appreciated. A very comfortable bed, a cozy living room / dining area with fireplace and plenty of firewood, a well equipped kitchen, lovely modern tiled, new bathroom with lots of hot water. The apartment has been lovingly maintained with all the comforts and only enhanced our experience of this not to be missed Medieval Town. Highly recommend!

Highlight of Our Trip

Staying in Óbidos was the highlight of our trip, and it should have never happened. Our scheduled VRBO did not give us entry and was unresponsive. I messaged a couple places last minute to see if anyone could help and was quickly accommodated by the incredibly gracious hosts here. This is the only VRBO I've ever stayed at that felt like a home. There are ample kitchen supplies, living plants, interesting pieces of art and decor, and a full patio garden that is obviously cared for. I had considered this place before booking but didn't because of the one bathroom. Knowing I was traveling with three teens means getting out of the house is always a challenge. I shouldn't have worried. Maybe we didn't get out quite as quickly, but it didn't matter. Right out the front door is an incredibly rich community to explore. Shops, history, and just a beautiful setting to enjoy at your leisure. I was perfectly happy to wander while the kids took all the time they wanted. I'm glad my original plans didn't work out. It turned what would have been a challenging experience into an absolute joy, and I thank the hosts and housekeeping staff whole heartedly for that.

Amazing Time In Obidos

The property was amazing. Close proximity to the castle, cute little patio, nice garden. The rooms were large. The host was amazing! I even met his wonderful mother who loaned me an umbrella. Couldn't ask for anything more of a property.

The charm of staying within the walls. We especially enjoyed being in the garden...we were fortunate with excellent weather. Obidos was our favorite part of our 2 week trip...though we loved all of Portugal!

Family vacation in Obidos

The location was great. Close to castle gate for easy check in, wonderful views from back private garden and a short walk to all the shops and restaurants. Such a unique property inside the castle walls. Rodrigo was great, very responsive to all our questions.

Lovely Fairytale Stay

We loved the magical experience of stepping back in time in this 300 year old home that has been lovingly upgraded to meet the comforts of the 21st century. Tastefully blended with contemporary art while maintaining old world charm, the home meanders and winds much like the town. The backyard is a lovely place to take a day off from walking on cobblestones swaying in the hammock watching the clouds go by and gazing at the fairytale castle walls and charming neighboring homes. Rodrigo is a perfect host, communicating promptly with kindness. I wish we could have stayed longer and hope to come back.

Amazing home within a Castle

This beautiful historic home situated within the castle walls in Obidos exceeded our expectations. The home has spacious and full of old world charm and has a lovely & very scenic backyard to relax in when done exploring the old Castle town of Obidos. We would love to visit again one day.
