Just 200m from the river and golf course, and close to Ocean Grove beach, 'Swyn Y Mor' (Sound of the Sea) invites you with its alluring boathouse aesthetic. High vaulted ceilings frame a spacious living area, and the wood heater sets a cosy ambience. The master bedroom, with its ensuite and outdoor access, and 2 additional bedrooms, offer personal retreats. A 2nd living space grants kids their own play area, and outside offers a sunset balcony and rear covered alfresco in a pet friendly yard.

This central gathering place is illuminated by natural light that streams through skylights, dancing on the solid timber floors that extend throughout the space. A slow combustion wood heater stands as the room's centrepiece, promising warm and cosy evenings recounting the day’s adventures, plus the convenience of split system heating/cooling.

The adjacent kitchen, functional and sleek, is equipped with a full suite of appliances—including a dishwasher and a coffee pod machine. It’s a space where conversations flow as freely as the nearby river, with a breakfast bar for casual meals and a layout that ensures the kitchen overlooks the home’s hub.

Retreat to the master bedroom, a sanctuary with a walk-in robe, an ensuite, and direct outdoor access for those quiet moments under the stars. The two additional bedrooms, each fitted with built-in robes, offer comfortable privacy, and are served by a well-appointed family bathroom complete with a bath and separate shower. The rooms are all beautifully appointed with hotel quality sheets and bath towels, making your stay as pleasurable as possible

The Neighborhood:
Embrace the surf and river lifestyle with a morning dip or a leisurely paddle. The nearby Groove Café offers local tastes within walking distance, and for golf enthusiasts, the course is at the end of the street. Nature lovers will appreciate the proximity to the Blue Waters Lake reserve, a sanctuary for native birdlife and tranquil picnics.

Our beautiful local surf beach is approx 1km away. Ocean Grove Beach offers family friendly swimming, surfing, and walking and is patrolled in summer months.

13th Beach offers long beach walks and waves for advanced surfers.

Barwon River (1min away at end of our street) caters to fishing, swimming, SUPing, kayaking, and walking the shoreline. It is also the home of the Ocean Grove Parkrun, a 5km free timed run/walk that occurs at 8.00am on Saturday mornings (except for busy summer period).

The house is situated a 15min walk from The Terrace shopping precinct, with plenty of cafes and restaurants locally, with many more restaurants, wineries, breweries around the region.

Adventure Park is a great day out with the kids - just 10 mins drive away.

Getting Around:
Nestled in a peaceful nook of Ocean Grove, this home places you within a mere 200m walk to the Barwon River boat ramp and the local Golf Club. A gentle stroll leads you to Ocean Grove’s surf beach and the serene Blue Waters Lake reserve. The property’s ideal location ensures lifestyle convenience, with easy access to riverside walks, beach days, and local dining spots like the Groove Café, just 170m away.

Buses to and from Ocean Grove/ Barwon Heads / Geelong. Closest train station (Marshall station) for V/Line train Geelong- Melbourne.

We loved it

We would definitely like to go back. We loved the access to the river and the pelicans, the doggy door and the ability to charge my electric car. Beautiful sweet house just perfect for us.
