”Like the hospitality of the host. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were delightful and tasty all done my Emma. The only problem we had was that the bathroom were not ADA compliant. The bath tub was a foot of the floor and made it very difficult for my wife to climb in an out of the bath. The breakfast area requires going up stairs and makes it difficult for someone with mobility issues. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. ”

”Beautiful view from our yurt, but it was not clear in the listing that the yurt had no running water or bathroom IN the yurt. We had a separate private bathroom a short distance from the yurt with 2 toilets, one being an incinerator type (A little complicated, but doable), a shower, and a sink. All dishes had to be taken from the yurt to the bathroom sink to wash them. There was bottled water in the yurt for drinking. Good refrigerator. ”Absolutely loved staying here and Jacob and Morena are top notch hosts! We love to get out and about and they were able to suggest some really awesome places to visit. ”Everything was clean and the host is very nice. They did give away my yurt that slept 4 and put me in one that slept 2. Considering I had 3 in my party, it was a bit inconvenient. But the host helped us with a blow up mattress.”

”We had a very good time in the cottage! The place is as expected and even better. Great views, quiet (outside of nature noise of course), clean, very confortable bed in the main house. Our 12 years old daughter loved the cats and they returned it well 😉. It was our second time in Milolii and we will come back to the cottage!”

”Property was as advertised. Peaceful beautiful view. However it was a VERY steep road and driveway. When wet the road became slick and at one point tires spinning we were crossing fingers that we would make it to the highway. But all good. Would stay again”

”We were making a multi-day road trip around the Big Island and needed a place to stay after a couple of days in Volcanoes NP. We chose the Lava Bus because it was such a unique property. We were so happy we did! It is a bit of a drive to get to any services (around 20 minutes to gas/groceries) but it was an amazing location for seeing the stars at night and enjoying peace and quiet. It felt very remote, but at the same time the bus itself was so well-appointed that it felt somehow luxurious....

”Chose this house because of location. Our first time on the big island so wanted to visit both Hilo and Kona side. Location allowed for good options each day as it was less than 2 hours from Hilo, and only an hour away from Hilo . House is great and host is super responsive.
