Charm and Character 10 minutes from lake McConaughy

Charming newly renovated home on the cutest block in Ogallala within minutes of lake McConaughey. After a day on the lake or golf course come and enjoy the serene, fenced backyard with plenty of space for the kids to run off any extra energy while you’re grilling or playing yard games. No need to worry about where to park the boats or jet skis as there is ample off-street parking.

The first floor includes an incredible kitchen with new stainless-steel appliances, a living room, a cozy master bedroom, and an office space with additional upstairs sleeping and a bathroom. The basement offers an extra non-conforming bedroom with two queen beds, an additional living area, and laundry.

The property includes high-speed internet and three smart TVs with access to Spectrum, Netflix, and local channels.

We have three outside security cameras located at the front entrance, front gate, and the garage driveway entrance.

Cozy and convenient

This property had everything this family of 4 needed. It was conveniently located closed to Sandy Beach which was our destination. The property was clean and cozy. We look forward to coming back next year!

Nice updated little house

We enjoyed our stay. This is an older home that has been updated. The front yard/porch was welcoming. The backyard was roomy, but we didn't spend much time there. The master bedroom was spacious, with lots of closet space. My 9-year-old enjoyed making the small office (located between the master bedroom and walk-in closet) his little room. The kitchen was small, clean, and well-stocked with supplies to meet our needs. The living room was small and cozy, yet it accommodated six people easily enough. The basement has 1 bedroom with 2 queen beds in it. With only 1 bathroom and 6 individuals getting ready, we didn't run out of hot water for showers. The host had plenty of bedding, but the blankets were a bit on the light side. If you tend to get cold easily, you may want to bring extra items. There were space heaters in each room as well. We visited the 1st part of June during a rainy weekend. We anticipated it to be hot but were chilled. The neighborhood and families were nice.

Big enough for a small family

Nice place

We liked the house, roomier than we thought. We did not like being bumped our first nite there, after having it booked for 6 months and paying in full. We didn’t get any cleaning or service fee refunded for that first nite. The front door was hard to get in, the deadbolt just spun and spun. It took us a good 30 minutes and many tries to get in the 2nd nite, but thankfully it finally caught (the deadbolt) and we got in. Nice and clean tho.

pleasant , but

the major issue I would criticize was the lack of any way to hang up clothes down in the basement bedroom.. One has to come up stairs, and go through the master bedroom to get to the only closest to hang anything up.

Mother Hen and Big Brother Beware

We stayed in this little home while we visited family in the area with the intention to be able to have our family over for a dinner and connect. Apparently that was not allowed as the owner threatened to cancel our reservation if our family did not vacate the property - so not family friendly at all. We were constantly watched via cameras in the kitchen that were not disclosed on the agreement. We were notified of cameras outside by the front door, rear entrance and outside gate, (which were in fact not there) but not that Mother Hen and Big Brother would be watching at all times, calling and texting telling us “Will you be wrapping up soon? Otherwise I will need to cancel the reservation.” As 40+ year old adults, it was demeaning and intrusive. We will never return.

Great location and property!

Easy drive to lake. Walking distance to town. Clean home, nice neighborhood everything you need. Hosts replied immediately to any questions we had. Would definitely stay again.
