Charm and Character 10 minutes from lake McConaughy

Charming newly renovated home on the cutest block in Ogallala within minutes of lake McConaughey. After a day on the lake or golf course come and enjoy the serene, fenced backyard with plenty of space for the kids to run off any extra energy while you’re grilling or playing yard games. No need to worry about where to park the boats or jet skis as there is ample off-street parking.

The first floor includes an incredible kitchen with new stainless-steel appliances, a living room, a cozy master bedroom, and an office space with additional upstairs sleeping and a bathroom. The basement offers an extra non-conforming bedroom with two queen beds, an additional living area, and laundry.

The property includes high-speed internet and three smart TVs with access to Spectrum, Netflix, and local channels.

We have three outside security cameras located at the front entrance, front gate, and the garage driveway entrance.

I am almost 93, she is 79. Didn’t like rugs that slip. Coffee box was empty. Chairs in living room were not comfortable. I could have used a recliner. She slept on couch, I can’t lie flat so propped up pillows and slept on top of spread. Thermostat was set too low so had to turn off as couldn’t figure how to turn up. It a nice accommodation, much better than a hotel!

Quiet Charm

Location to the Lake was prime. We love to stay in town to get away from the crowds on beaches. Neighborhood was quiet. Parking was limited with our boat in the front where it could be monitored. Parked in the back on the street as our hookup was too long for the overall gravel spot. Cozy space for a small group. Had all the essential needs.

Nice updated little house

We enjoyed our stay. This is an older home that has been updated. The front yard/porch was welcoming. The backyard was roomy, but we didn't spend much time there. The master bedroom was spacious, with lots of closet space. My 9-year-old enjoyed making the small office (located between the master bedroom and walk-in closet) his little room. The kitchen was small, clean, and well-stocked with supplies to meet our needs. The living room was small and cozy, yet it accommodated six people easily enough. The basement has 1 bedroom with 2 queen beds in it. With only 1 bathroom and 6 individuals getting ready, we didn't run out of hot water for showers. The host had plenty of bedding, but the blankets were a bit on the light side. If you tend to get cold easily, you may want to bring extra items. There were space heaters in each room as well. We visited the 1st part of June during a rainy weekend. We anticipated it to be hot but were chilled. The neighborhood and families were nice.

Big enough for a small family

Nice place

We liked the house, roomier than we thought. We did not like being bumped our first nite there, after having it booked for 6 months and paying in full. We didn’t get any cleaning or service fee refunded for that first nite. The front door was hard to get in, the deadbolt just spun and spun. It took us a good 30 minutes and many tries to get in the 2nd nite, but thankfully it finally caught (the deadbolt) and we got in. Nice and clean tho.

pleasant , but

the major issue I would criticize was the lack of any way to hang up clothes down in the basement bedroom.. One has to come up stairs, and go through the master bedroom to get to the only closest to hang anything up.
