”It was a great experience staying in a traditional ryokan, visit an onsen (public bath) and use a yukata (Japanese robe). Lovely staff, great location and spacious and clean room. A futon mattress would have made the experience even better, but the down duvet was wonderful.”

”Super helpful and friendly staff gave us good information about the surrounding area. You could make coffee/tea whenever and there was a shared fridge, microwave etc. You could also take a bath in a traditional japanese hot spring bath which was amazing! We had a japanese style room which was so cute but the futon bed was a bit uncomfortable for us. Would definitely stay here again!”

We were sad and sorry about my daughters Muumi T - shirt disappeared while we were oitside. Room was clined that time . We complained reseption about that . We hope they find skirt and send it back”

”We went on a one night trip from Tokyo. They have a free ride from Jomokogen Shinkansen station, so it is very easy to get here. The hotel is new and modern. All rooms have an private bath on the balcony with a nice view of the river below. We had the half board option, and I would say it was great value since the dinner was a 6 course menu. Minakami Onsen was a sleepy small town surrounded by mountains. As a tourist it was nice to see the other sife of Japan, not only large cities. Would...
