”We had a wonderful time at this ryokan. We chose this inn specifically for its remote location and traditional atmosphere and were not disappointed. The hotel, outdoor onsen, and woodsy surroundings were all excellent. The building is old and reminded me of the railroad lodges of the western United States: creaky old doors and floors, metal keys, and rotary dial phones.
Other than the hotel, there are no restaurants nearby (that I know of) and dinner is an elaborate kaiseki ryori that requires...
”Bestilte og fikk et veldig flott rom med egen onsen. I tillegg til veldig god middag og frokost på privat spiserom, så var det vel verdt pengene å ha tilgang til egen varmtvannskilde utendørs, døgnet rundt.
Servicen var også upåklagelig, med veldig hyggelig betjening.
En av de ansatte kjørte oss til og med til riktig busstopp ved utsjekk, når vi innså at vi hadde kjøpt feil billett.
Vil absolutt anbefale plassen om man ser etter et avslappende opphold for en dag eller to.”

The facilities themselves are great, from the spacious rooms, onsens, provided kimono and sandals for the onsens and property, and the staff excellent. Also appreciated the afternoon welcome drink service.
