”Perfect location for our half way stop on NC 500 so glad we had sunshine as the roads to the cottage would be challenging in bad weather. We did try to drive down to the beach for sunset but missed the turning and ended up stuck behind a herd of cows. It was good to light a fire have a drink and warm up a pizza. The bed wasn't the most comfortable but we forgave it because everything else was so good ( and we do usually sleep on king size vspring which is difficult to match away from home) ”

”Our stay was perfect in every way. Communications between ourselves and our hosts ensured that we found the location quickly, despite Google Earth, street view trying to confuse us. Local facilities are limited. Lochinver is a small town, but with the help passed onto us by our hosts we were able to enjoy a memorable meal at a local cafe. ”

”Stuart and Sophie make your stay so comfortable and enjoyable. We had a large, lovely room with views of the hills and the sea. The food (breakfasts and dinners) was delicious. I would recommend the Scourie Lodge to anyone visiting the northwest corner of Scotland.”

”The guesthouse and the host, Brian, were great. Due to a booking error, I was able to book the accommodation even though they were closed. Brian still gave us a warm welcome and upgraded our room free of charge. He gave us tips for a good restaurant and even made a reservation for us! The breakfast was delicious and lovingly prepared. We would definitely recommend this hostel; it was simply fantastic!”
