Perfect lakefront retreat

This cabin was perfect for our mother daughter trip with our best friends. We had a great time paddleboarding, swimming, playing cards, ordering doordash, and chatting. The dock was brand new, and had the nice trex-style boards on top. Great for laying out on and enjoying the water. The small shore was pebbles, not terrible for walking barefoot, and we watched a bald eagle hunting fish in the lake. They had a lot of items in the kitchen for us to use, like veggie peelers, measuring cups, mixing bowls, watter kettle, etc. One thing we noticed is that it was generally very clean and dust free. That's no longer a given with these vacation rentals, and these guys did a great job. Thank you for stocking the freezer with ice! Overall really really lovely stay.

Peaceful lakefront house

Easy access to the lake, with kayak, paddle boards and paddle boat there to use. House was comfortable and the kitchen was great for cooking. Deck was nice to hang out on. Parking was plentiful.

Just a fantastic experience!

We absolutely loved this place! The house was well appointed & cozy. The paddle boards & boat were used everyday. Life jackets available for the whole family. They had lawn games & such a lovely deck. Our kids enjoyed the swings on the deck & we enjoyed our morning coffe looking at the beautiful lake! Perfect family place! We had one hiccup & the owners were right on top of it! We will be back!

This is a great space! The house was spotless. There are plenty of amenities, including a SUP, a paddleboat, life jackets, a well-equipped kitchen, and plenty of towels. The upstairs shower is difficult to use (not at a usable height) and makes a terrible noise, so there is effectively only one shower. We had some trouble communicating with the management company when we needed a dish scrubber but it worked out in the end. The dock looks questionable but it seemed perfectly functional and safe.We loved sitting on the deck and watching the kids play in the water. It was idyllic!

Lovely lakeside retreat

We very much enjoyed our long weekend at the Hayes Cabin. It's clear that it has been lovingly maintained and had all the amenities we needed. The easy access to the lake allowed us to paddle our kayaks often and we also had fun using the provided peddle boat. We spent lots of quality time on the deck and lawn enjoying the spectacular views of the lake and had a memorable and restorative trip. We were offered a late check out for an additional fee which we were appreciate of since it allowed us a relaxing final morning. The only issue with the stay was that we had a couple of questions about the property that vacasa was unable to answer. It seems they had the basic listing info that we also had access to but nothing beyond that. They replied to the questions that they'd reach out to their local agent and get back to us but never responded beyond that.

Cigarette Smell, Broken Glass & Brawl Next Door

1. The house is cute and tidy but reeks so badly of old cigarette smoke my husband couldn't sleep. 2. The paddleboat had broken glass in it, on which my son cut his foot. 3. The next-door neighbors had a 30 minute screaming brawl involving about 5 people where the cops were called (by another member of their family). There is no fence between the yards, so we had to take our dinner back inside. 4. Our arrival time was delayed by Vacasa (3rd party property management firm) from 4pm to 6:30pm due to the cleaners being unavailable and then the cleaners were still there when we arrived and stayed until 8pm. 5. The cleaners left us to do a load of the previous tenants' linen laundry. 6. The dock is broken in many places with part of it being underwater. You can see the broken supports beneath it. Because of this, the end of the dock sticks up about 5'out of the water. You can't sit anywhere on the dock because it isn't level in any one place.
