Our stay at Woodsy Retreat was magical! Woodsy Retreat is a clean, cozy, comfortable nest in a rain forest setting. We were greeted by chorusing tree frogs as we walked down the path to the entrance, then felt the warmth of the gas-fired fireplace as we opened the door. There was an abundance of snack foods, a loaf of freshly baked bread, sumptuous pastries, assorted hot beverages and cheeses for a continental breakfast, and wine and beer. We enjoyed playing pool, the very comfortable beds, the rain shower showerhead, and sitting outside in the evening, listening to the frogs, an owl, subtle wind chimes and watching the trees , lit by spotlight , dancing in the wind. We will have to come back again to try the hot tub.

Phillip and Danica are incredible hosts! They have thought of everything possible for the most comfortable stay. From walking sticks to makeup removal wipes, a fully stocked coffee and tea bar, PLUS a cheese board and freshly baked bread and pastries. Besides the multiple great outdoor spaces to enjoy the wildlife, there were games and a pool table which we enjoyed too.I had plans in town so spent limited time on the park trails. I will return just to enjoy the park and the property.

The Woodsy Retreat is just that - a lovely retreat. The hosts provide generous and yummy treats, along with an awesome coffee/tea bar. The space was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Both the gas fireplace and outdoor hot tub are welcomed amenities, especially after venturing along the trails. Would definitely return.

I have stayed at many different VRBO locations, and I have to say that this was one of the best. The thoughtfulness of the host was out of this world. From the fresh baked bread, to the continental breakfast, to the snacks and hot tub, this place had it all. I look forward to going back in the future.

Exceeded our expectations. The house was so cozy and inviting. Beds were very comfortable.The kitchen was incredibly well equipped with everything you would need to make meals. Owners included a coffee/tea/hot chocolate bar to accommodate anyone’s taste. Continental breakfast pastries and home made bread. They also provided snacks which was such a nice surprise.We enjoyed the hot tub and the outdoor sitting area (although is had snowed). I am sure it would be even nicer when the weather is warmer. Took a short hike on the trail to the park. Beautiful trees and wildlife. Owl made a showing.We only stayed one night but wished we could have stayed longer.This was such a gem.

If you’re looking for a place to stay, you need to book this one! The hosts are so caring and accommodating to their clients. My girlfriends and I had a lovely night in the hot tub, followed by playing pool and other board games. The beverages and complimentary food they provide was so thoughtful. They literally have everything you could need in a place. Definitely recommend!

Absolutely wonderful space. From the thoughtful welcome sign to the generous continental breakfast. My partner and I enjoyed the hot tube and unique whimsical outdoor spa. It was the perfect getaway for rest and rejuvenation. We will be back.

This is our third visit! We are two teacher friends who stay for a creative retreat, time away from home and obligations to write. This place is so warm and welcoming and has everything you need and more. Tucked in the beautiful woods, there is a trail to Tolmie SP. However you brew your coffee, you will be happy. The hot tub is nestled in trees with a view of the stars.

Absolutely love this place! Woodsy Retreat is much much more than just a retreat. It is a place of respite and refuge! My wife and I came back again in less than one year for another stay because of how special this place is. The level of hospitality shown by the hosts is unrivaled and unparalleled by any other vacation rental that we have stayed. We never left once during our stay and didn’t need to because of all the amenities, snacks and an astonishing coffee/tea bar. The intentionality in there hospitality was very unique and specific to our individual wants/likes such as “what drinks do you prefer?” Who does that! Private hot tub in a rainforest, fireplace, pool table, crisp and clean down feather comforters that make you sleep like a baby…. If you want a break from the world this is the place. Our hearts are full and spirits renewed . Looking forward to next time already. Wish I could rate more than 5 stars

Our stay was excellent! The place was spotless, beautifully decorated, and exactly as described. The host was incredibly welcoming, responsive, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The homemade bread she baked and left for us was amazing! The location was convenient and peaceful, making it easy to relax and enjoy the area. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and memorable stay — We will definitely book again!

What an incredible stay. Every tiny detail was carefully curated and thoughtful. I wish I had taken more/better photos, but the pictures do not do it justice anyway. It was very clean and the kingsize bed with the mattress topper was incredible. The snacks, pastries, fresh bread, and endless tea and coffee bar was so much more than expected and so deeply enjoyed. We hope to come back to experience other seasons. It was very quiet, private, and secluded, but the Danica was easy to reach if we needed anything. Thank you for an amazing escape.
