This is what living ON the beach means!

Awesome spacious property, clean and well maintained. Loved the spacious balcony and ample balcony furniture! The property is right on the beach so you just take the elevator 1 floor down and walk 1 minute on the private access board walk to hit the beach sands! When we checked in there was a musty/fishy odor which bothered us a bit but we got air fresheners the next and it was all good. On the first two days it was pretty windy and the waves were rough but the rest 3 days our stay the ocean was calm and water clear like in a pool and everybody had a blast!

Not enough words to describe our disappointment

When traveling with a big group to the beach, I know how to manage expectations. We booked a larger condo because we had 11 people. But we quickly realized that this condo lacked a lot of basic amenities that would have enhanced the quality of our stay. This review has a max on words so I will list our issues numerically. 1.The back bedroom TV did not work. 2.The bedroom fans did not function properly and some, at all. 3.Bed’s were extremely uncomfortable 4.Dishwasher didn’t work 5.Vacuum didn’t work and broom was too old to be useful. 6.Multiple outlets did not work 7.Mold in the shower and washing machine 8.Restrictions on drying towels on the balcony 9.Not enough hooks in the condo to dry towels 10.No hangers in the closets 11.Zero pantry space for food 12.Not enough parking passes. We had to park down and across the street. 13.This location (Phoenix West) has a lot of restrictions on where you can set up your beach tents if you are not purchasing directly from them. If you want to get close to the beach, you MUST rent their tents. Otherwise, you will be 3 rows back. I wish this was explained to us upfront. I understand some beach locations are strict on this, but it should be disclosed prior to booking as this would have been a deal breaker for our family. A few others families we met on the beach also rented from Brent Robinson & shared similar grievances. It is evident this company doesn't fully value their customers.

Comfortable and convenient

It was very difficult to flush the toilets. For one of them we had to raise the lid to tug the chain and flush the water out every single time. It was not super clean. Some greasy dishes and hair balls when we arrived. We had no idea there was beach umbrellas, chairs and other beach stuff in the closet by the front door. When I asked about chairs I was told we could rent them. It rained a lot so we watched some tv and the satellite dish service is horrible, it kept going out several times a minute. The landline phone didn’t work, the remote in the main room didn’t work bc the batteries were old. I just don’t think anyone really checked in these things. I never received an email with general check in info or things to know about the condo before our stay like I have with other properties which would have been nice. The beach was wonderful and easily accessible.

Spacious, Clean, Convenient Condo

This was a quick 3 day trip to Orange Beach, AL and the family's first visit. We stayed in Phoenix 3, Unit 3021. The unit was a little dated, but very well-maintained. It had all of the creature comforts. The tile floors were beautiful and easy to maintain during our stay. Gorgeous granite countertops. There was plenty of room in each of the three bedrooms, kitchen, dining area, and living room. The huge balcony provided an amazing view of the Gulf. The unit was very clean which is most important to us. The kitchen had every utensil necessary to prepare your own meals and for many people. From the bourbon glasses to the martini shaker to the ice cream scooper, we had every thing we needed for a terrific in-unit dining experience. The separate ice maker was a nice touch and came in handy. The building was being renovated during our stay so our outdoor pool was closed. This was only a minor inconvenience because we had access to the both pools in the next door units. It would have been nice to know this prior to making our reservation (although we are still so glad we reserved). The indoor pool was tiny. It had room for 6 people to sit down if you were not in one of the two hot tubs. Ordinarily, we would have never used the indoor pool, except Mother Nature brought a chilly 60 degree day to the Gulf. Despite its small size, the kids had a great time swimming. We used one of the 4 grills at the outdoor pool. We felt very comfortable doing so as we watched an employee meticulously clean them every morning. The security guard, Jody, came by while we grilled and gave us some information on Orange Beach, restaurants, etc. Very nice guy. I can't offer an opinion on the elevators as we stayed on the second floor and mainly used the stairs. When we called for them, our wait didn't seem too long. My only gripe was we had to wait about 20 minutes past check in time because the unit was not ready. That made a 6.5 hour drive seem much longer. My wife's only gripe about the unit was that after a couple of showers, the hot water seemed to run out. I didn't experience that, so I have to take my wife's word for it. I loved the showers with the two shower heads. The location of the unit also made the trip more enjoyable. It was close to souvenir shopping, grocery stores, and restaurants. We had a short, but truly enjoyable stay at this unit. When we go back, I am definitely looking to book this unit again. Rick/Becky
