Lots of money for this property

Hot tub didn’t work, pool area needs work, weeds , cheap furniture, bathrooms need makeovers , lounge , hall and kitchen were great.

Poor maintenance and Rude

Upon arrival to our rental home, the house had a very musty odor and a heat wave hit us right away. We noticed the thermostat read 85 degrees and the A/C was not working. We called the number on the email that was giving which was the answering service and the lady on the line was extremely rude and was not helpfully at all, when we told her that the A/C was not working all she could say was “okay” and ” oh I feel ya mine is not working at my house either, and I will contact the maintenance department and they might get back with you sometime today they close in an hour”. When we asked for a number to speak to someone else, she was unhelpful and would not give it to us. Not only was the A/C not working the walls were covered in marks of dirt and the pool areas was full of weeds and mold. Finally, we got a hold of the property management company and Rory was very helpful, she sent maintenance right over and when they were unable to fix the A/C issue they moved us to a different house right around the corner. The house that we switched over to was just okay, the overall cleanliness of the house was poor, there was a sandwich press in the pantry and when we opened it, it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in over a year, there was grease and stuck on food partials all over it. The house was dusty and the toilet in one of the bathrooms would not stop running. There was no dish soap, dishwasher soap, laundry detergent, or even an extra roll of toilet paper or paper towels. The pool area was dirty, there was weeds growing through the pavers, cigarette buds laying on the ground and the pool at a bunch of sand and dirt in the bottom, the screens had holes in them, and we saw a few rats one evening. We like to rent a house in Orlando every year for a quick get away and this is the first time we rented with Tropical Escape Resort and this will be the LAST time we rent with them. I do not recommend this property or this property management company. After returning home we realized we left a few items in the house one item being a check in a bag another a set of dress clothes hanging in the bathroom closet. We only live a hour drive from the house and my daughter attends collage in Orlando so we wanted to pick up the items. They said they were going to send housekeeping to look for the items. I have not heard back from them even after emailing them several times the phone just rings no one answers. It has been over two weeks of trying. With no luck.

Pictures of property need updating

New construction in back of house. View on pictures show nice scenery of trees. Not any more. Air filters were clogged. My husband changed main air culture so AC can circulate air. Back yard screens were torn and one pane missing which had knats and mosquitos while trying to enjoy pool. Missing a couple of vertical blinds back sliding glass door. Bed lining worn..could use new ones.

Comfortable Stay for All Ages

The property was everything I had hoped and expected it to be. I booked the property before I read reviews. But I didn’t run into any of those problems others had mentioned. Location was great. Pool was great. There were 7 of us, 2 adults, 2 teens, and 3 kids 6 and under. Everyone enjoyed the space and it never felt like we were on top of each other. We would choose this place again

Quick stay

There were a few minor issues, but nothing major. There was quite a bit of trash left outside on the ground from the previous renters. I notified the company and they said they would send maintenance out to pick it up. That didn't happen but it was on the side of the house and wasn't really a nuisance. The fire alarm in the front bedroom did go off at 3am our first night and my husband disconnected it. I could see where this would scare kids if they were staying in the room, but it didn't bother me as we were in the Master (in fact, I didn't even hear it). The carpets could definitely use a good cleaning. Aside from these things everything was great. The Master bed was comfortable, the open layout and the outside pool area were fantastic! The linens were clean. They were not really doing any construction during our stay, but at some point it will start being developed behind the pool area. The gated community was really nice. We didn't have any issues with loud neighbors. The bonus is that this house is on the corner with a long driveway and no neighbors to the left. I would consider renting this property again.

Wouldn’t stay again

This was our first time using VRBO and first time renting a home. With 4 kids it’s just not enjoyable to be couped in a hotel room. So we decided to try it out. Booking it was easy. Pictures pretty much match the home. Beds were ok. Could be updated. Carpet needs to be changed it’s kind of gross( stains and things stuck in it) It seemed clean when we entered but once we settled in I had noticed a lot of things that proved that the home was not cleaned well. First there was a used towel in bathroom hanging on rack. Oil stains on the sink and wall. Oil marks on bedroom wall. ( I think it was oil I’m not 100% sure, and why it would be on walls is beyond me ) The kitchen table was dirty and dusty. The kitchen sink was dirty. In master bathroom there were little hairs on shower floor. One of the toilets wasn’t flushing well Light in fridge didn’t work We paid for heater for pool and they didn’t work. ( we were refunded) The whole stay we had a loud noise constantly going by the master bedroom which we later found out was the pool heater trying to work but didn’t work. Net enclosing pool was ripped and I requested that it be fixed prior to getting in since I read it in a review from a prior renter. It was not fixed. One of the screen doors was broken in back. The fire alarm went off twice for no reason. Left 2 stars because my kids had fun in pool. But I would not stay there again.

Ok at first

Everything seemed nice...at first. All of the sheets were put on our beds still damp. So immediately upon arriving we had to strip the beds and dry sheets. Trying to get in touch with the rental company was nearly impossible, even left unreturned messages. Someone needs to go through the house to make sure everything is working properly and is clean. The coffee maker leaks, the fridge takes forever to cool and the master shower needs a good cleaning. The shower head and door are pretty gross. The fie alarm went off twice while we were there, both in the wee hours. After the first time, I managed to contact the rental company although it took five phone calls. She said they’d send someone over to fix it. They never did. It happened again and we found the bad alarm in the front bedroom. My husband took it down to turn it off and ants came streaming out. Also they only provide bath towels...no hand or dish towels. It’s chintzy. Won’t rent from this company again. Poor customer service, we just gave up trying to call them because you couldn’t get through to anyone.

Family Spring Break

Property itself was great. The experience was ruined with the fire alarm constantly going off during all hours of the night, it kept us up and kept scaring my kids. We called several times to get the problem fixed, spoke to someone different at the property management company each time. We were told someone from maintenance would call and come out. Neither happened. It was not urgent to them as it was for us, it’s terrible to go on a family vacation and not able to get much sleep with an alarm constantly going off. When it was time to check out, we were about 15mins behind time getting our stuff out. But it sure was urgent for us to quickly get out for the cleaning lady, why wasn’t that mutual for our concern. Also beware to bring your own wash cloths. They only provide pool towels and big bath towels. As well as only one roll per bathroom for your entire stay. Which was odd to me, we are a family of 6, and one roll per bathroom for a 5 day stay doesn’t work. Who wants to feel like they have to go out and purchase household items while on vacation. The master bath has mold on the shower head and it needs to be replaced, whoever does the cleaning is not cleaning thoroughly. I don’t believe we would purchase a rental property through this company again, we’ve had much better experiences renting in this same area. The service through Tropical Escapes was very subpar.

Nice for the price.

Easy check in process. Good communication with management. I’m pretty observant and picky about things so this may be a bit much but just want to state my thoughts. The pool heat was not turned on when we had paid for it prior to arriving. There were blinds missing from the back slider door. The screen over the pool had one section that was ripped and a bird ended up getting in through the hole and we had to help it get out. I guess in the contract/agreement it says to bring your own hand towels and dish towels due to Covid 19. I missed that memo. So it was very inconvenient not having hand towels and a dish towel. But there are snorkels in the plastic tub outside for the pool. Seems you wouldn’t want to share something you put in your mouth that isn’t probably washed. They could also use a large sauté pan. They have two small pans and a few pots. But if you want to make a larger amount of scrambled eggs there isn’t a pan big enough for more than maybe two eggs. Also want to mention the construction, they were digging and flattening and dumping gravel for roads. It made the whole house shake. Even the plates in the cupboard were rattling. Monday through Saturday. Monday through Friday must be 7am-530pm and Saturday was 7am to 1230pm. Overall the property seemed clean it is just dingy and cheap feeing inside and the outside had a bit of trash around the yard. But great location. I would stay again as communication with management wasn’t terrible. I emailed and they called me back the same day. But not all concerns were able to be addressed during our stay. But definitely if those few things were fixed, included, and construction was done it is a nice place for the price.

Beautiful Hime

This home was beautiful, the pool area was everything we hoped it would be. Sadly a lot of construction going on in the empty field beside the home (we lucked out, it was excavated prior to our arrival. They were moving in material to lay sewer and water lines.) it does appear they will be building behind the home as well. Hopefully the owner invests in a fence to keep this home a little more private.

Poor communication/ Poor customer service

called the office more than 5 times to request towels for the house. No answer on guest service line. Someone answered on the reservation line twice and said they would bring towels and never did the entire 5 night stay. Could not enjoy the game room because of no air conditioning in the room. The room stayed over 90 degrees. One guest complained of the full/queen bed squeaking.

West Haven Adventures

We really enjoyed our stay at this property and loved every moment. The only problem was that I had messaged a few times about the pool and access to other amenities and never received any response. The first day the communication was great but after that emails never were responded to. I would stay again.

Upon checking in we noticed one of the bedrooms was missing a mattress so we only had access to 3 out of the 4 bedrooms. I tried contacting the property management, but never heard back the entire time we were there nor after. Overall house is very nice and well cared for.

Nice Home! Great Neighborhood. 2 small issues...

This house is located in a great area, gated community, and a nice size. 2 small issues that may not even be issues. The first night everyone got into bed with damp sheets. They were clean but we all had to spend over an hour drying bed sheets before going to bed the first night. The other issue was paying for a heated spa, which ended up being the same temperature as the pool...not “heated” at all. We paid extra for a heated spa. Be aware they do no work on the weekends if you have an issue. I called the office on Monday and the lady put in a “work order” to check the spa heat. Did not receive a call back and the temp never changed. Not sure what paying extra paid for... Other than that we might consider staying here again knowing we will not pay extra for pool heat.

Very Clean Great Home!!!

Property was very clean very inviting! Family enjoyed the pool and game room. Great location for stores/shopping. Eating out breakfast and dinner. We grilled 2 nights and stayed 2 weeks. It’s not far drive from Disney or Seaworld which we did both for kids. Corner lot with long drive way which most houses in the area don’t have for company or other realitives. Very Comfortable beds and more than every appliance or utensil you will ever need. Will rent again!!!

A Wonderful Holiday in A Beautiful House

We just got back from staying in this amazing home!!! It is a one floor home with 4 bedrooms and actually 4 bathrooms!!! It only says 3 bathrooms but there is actually a bathroom outside in the pool area which was really convenient as this is where we would change when we got out of the pool! There is no wasted space in this house. A couple things to keep in mind when renting the house is that everything you need for dishes and utensils and appliances is there, however the basics are missing such as sugar, oil, cooking spray, etc. If you don't mind buying what you need and throwing out what you don't use then this shouldn't be a big deal! The decor is beautiful and the bedrooms are great!! The pool and spa are amazing!! We spent a lot of time in the pool! Just make sure you call Tropical Escapes if you don't feel like the pool heat is working or high enough. We found the pool cool but when they came by and adjusted it for us, it was perfect! There is a house to one side where you can kind of see the neighbours when you are in the pool or on the patio but other than that it is greenspace to the other sides! Our boys loved the games room! There is a pool table and an air hockey table in there. It was a nice little area! Don't think twice about renting this place!! It is a great house and you won't be disappointed!!

Very nice home.

My father and I stayed here for a few days while on a business/golf trip. Very conveniently located. Lots of good places to eat, great golf courses, etc located within minutes. Would definitely recommend.
