”Very clean and the staff were super friendly. Breakfast buffet was a hit! Had a little trouble at check in, however it was quickly sorted out”

”This was one of the best stays of our trip. Long drive, arrived tired and hungry. We were greeted by Kathleen, the most kind and wonderful hostess. We had an hour to freshen up before our dinner reservation. Then, we were seated with a gorgeous view of the lake on one side and the excellent band on the other. Our server, Rebecca, was one of the nicest servers EVER. The food was great. We were disappointed we weren’t staying longer than one night!”

”lovely pool and play area for families. we rented a cottage which had a mini kitchen so very handy for making a meal. in room coffee machine, microwave, fridge, stove etc. lovely view from windows looking out at the water. very quiet and well maintained property.”

”We came here to see the Alexander Graham Bell museum - highly recommend! This hotel served or purposes perfectly. It could probably use some renovation, but it's very nicely kept up. It's clean and we were very comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful.”

”We stayed in 2017 when we didnt have a room booked. Mac was able to accommodate my family and we greatly appreciated it. Then, in 2025, we arrived for our booked night to find Mac and his tale-telling grandson, Cairo, to check us in. So glad to see him here and we again appreciated the room, the view, the included breakfast, the comfortable nights sleep, and as always, the service. I highly recommend staying here for at least an evening, if not for the wonderful sservice then at least the view!”

”Clean, comfortable, a little confusion over the booking was quickly set straight. Quiet and relaxed atmosphere. ”

”This was a great adventure. It might not be for everyone but it sure was for us. There is a bit of a hike to the yurt, which made for a peaceful and secluded stay. Andrea and Clay greeted us and showed us around the place which was beautiful. There is a river right out the door that we swam in, and the yurt was so cozy inside.”

”This place is truly amazing! We were greeted by one of the owners who went over the specifics. He pointed out an eagle sitting in a nearby tree just waiting for her dinner to swim by in the river bordering the yurt. So comfy, quiet and secluded. I would definitely stay here again.”

”Great little unit that was spacious and easy to find. Close to Baddeck with easy access to the rest of the island. Little playground for the kids was a nice touch, especially when the parents were trying to pack up. We did notice that the fridge didn't seem to be cleaned from the last guest. Would definitely stay again. Thanks!!”
