”Nice place to stay we don’t need a workout room and pool just a comfortable clean room for a good night sleep for what it cost very good stay. Someone is taking pride in their work and it show. We stay 3 years ago and it was good but now it’s really nice thanks”

”Our stay was wonderful, newly remodeled very clean. Shower was fantastic as it had handicapped rails to help get in and out. Bed was very comfortable. Continental breakfast and the coffee was very good. Staff was very friendly.”

”Staff was great. Pool was small but we used it anyway. Very clean throughout the hotel. Easy access to anything you wanted to do.”

”The hotel itself was great; it was very clean, and there was always an attendant at the front desk if you had any questions. The only issue I had was that room service never came to replace used towels or tidy up the room. Also, the shower has a gap that allows water to flow onto the floor, creating a slipping hazard.”

”The swimming pool setup was awkward from our room had to go across a parking lot and when we first entered the room was a little musty but once we turned on the air the smell went away. All in all very nice. The hotel has invested a lot of money in the outside area. Would definitely recommend and gladly stay there again”

”Here is what makes this hotel unique is the the cleanliness of the room. Exceptional! It meets my standards. The staff is very polite, respectful with great customer service. They are prompt in attending to needs. This hotel serves hot meals for breakfast and dinner. I did not use the Hot tub. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone. Excellent stay!!”

”The room was Ok, just a place to sleep. It was relatively clean. The pool was not in service and there was no notice on the site, (we have kids and it was really the only reason we stayed here). Spent $10 to do 2 loads of clothes (only 1 washer, 2 dryers, and they still didn't get fully dry). The "breakfast" was thoroughly unimpressive. Overall, Skip this place unless all you need to do is sleep.”

”There was a water leak in the room that was reserved for us and it could not be fixed same day. Upon my request I asked the kind young lady at front desk if she could recommend a diff motel for us for that 1 night stay. She did and called that diff motel to see if they had any vacancies which theu did. She had great customer service skills. She also directed us to the Jayco (Kroger) store where we could get gas”

”I am from Madison and always look forward to staying with the Hillside and staff. Everyone is always very nice. Now the building is old so you have to accept some of the blemishes. My recommendation is stay in the winter when all the leaves have fallen and at night you can look down the street and watch the snow fall then go walking down main late at night it’s so peaceful and quite all you hear is the snow falling.”

”This hotel was great! The self check-in made getting to our room super easy. Our room was spacious and clean. Convenient location within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants on Main street. Not to mention the interesting history of the building itself. We loved it!”

”The breakfast was simple, but pleasant. They had full fat yogurt and whole milk, and a pancake machine instead of the traditional waffle machine. My wife especially liked the raisin bran. The room was fine, but the details were a bit lacking. The bathtub had a substantial gap on one side, for example. The people were singularly great and helpful.”

”The staff was friendly but the property was run down, toilet seat was broken and every door stuck and would not close without pushing it closed hard. Breakfast had bare minimum and coffee creamer was only one flavor”
