If you're into roadside cheap motels with bugs, this place is for you. I’ve never left a bad review before, but I feel like I have to for this. I was in Oxford to visit my daughter at Miami University for her sorority "Father's Day weekend" & just about everything locally was booked.
I arrived, set my bag down, and sat on the bed. I was already disgusted with the property and room but after only 5 minutes, a big roach scurried past me ON THE BED. I swatted it off with my jacket & took a picture of it on the floor (I WISH I could post a pic here).
I grabbed my bag and tried to check out. When I showed the lady the photo, she said, "but that’s an outdoor bug." I told her I was leaving, but she refused to give me a refund even after being there for a total of 15-20 minutes. The bed was still made, I hadn't used the bathroom. I ended up finding a room at the Comfort in just 2 min away. It was a little tired but it was the Taj Mahal as compared to the Oxford Inn but honestly, I would have preferred sleeping in the rental car over staying at this disgusting place. It looks like they tried to renovate the place but a coat of paint and vinyl stick down flooring couldn't hide this very tired, rundown, roadside Motel.
