Basecamp - modern cabin with hot tub + sauna near Mount Rainier

Basecamp is styled in a cozy Scandinavian modern aesthetic, blending natural fibers, warm tones and open spaces for a relaxing atmosphere.



The house is set up to sleep eight guests comfortably. In addition to two private bedrooms with queen beds, there is an open sleeping loft equipped with two twin beds and a bunk bed. Each bed features plush memory foam mattresses, down comforters and linen duvets. There are also two full bathrooms. The living room and two private bedrooms have 4K smart TVs. To complete your experience, Basecamp has SONOS audio in each room.



A full kitchen features all you need to host a big meal. Custom fold-up wall mounted table seats six, with additional seating around the oversized kitchen island. Coffee provided, but don't forget the creamer.



Kids and dogs (2) are welcome. There's a safety gate at the top of the stairs and a Pack & Play available - just be sure to let hosts know before arrival. Pets will enjoy the fully fenced yard and welcome basket.



Outside, there is a big cedar deck with a family style dining table. In the back yard there is a fire pit with ample seating as well as a big hot tub, with seating for seven, and an outdoor shower. At Camp Commons next door, you'll enjoy the large cedar sauna (shared with Camp Gifford and Camp Pinchot).



Popular nearby destinations include White Pass Ski Resort (20 min) and Mount Rainier National Park (15 min). Outdoor adventures await! Or stick closer to town, just a 5 minute drive.



Guests will receive a unique code via email after completing their booking. The code will open the Smart Lock on the main door during the duration of the reservation.



Hosts are available via Airbnb messenger before and during your stay.



BASECAMP is located just outside Packwood in the High Valley neighborhood. You'll be just 20 minutes to Mount Rainer National Park and 30 minutes to White Pass Ski Resort. The town of Packwood is just a 5 minute drive away. Gifford Pinchot National Forrest is a short walk away - complete with miles and miles of hiking trails.



In the winter month, the area can get some snow accumulation. Please check local road conditions and plan accordingly. Access to the house is typically plowed after snow. A snow shovel and salt are provided as a backup.



Parking for up to 5 cars within the property. You will need a personal vehicle to experience Packwood and the surrounding area.



The kitchen is fully stocked! Hosts also provide Starbucks coffee, olive oil, salt, sugar. Each guest will receive a bath towel, wash cloth and hot tub towel. Extra blankets are on each bed. There are two non-feather pillows available in the upstairs closet.



Dogs allowed (2 max - up to 75 lbs) for a $50 fee. If there is excess hair or mud from the pups, or dog waste left in the yard, we'll need to assess an additional cleaning charge ($50). To help prevent this, we've included a big dog blanket and dog towels. Please also keep dogs off of furniture and beds.
