Getting Around
- Car Rentals: Renting a car is often the most convenient way to get around Palm Springs, especially for visiting places outside of the city like Joshua Tree National Park or other parts of Coachella Valley.
- Rideshares/Taxis: Companies like Uber and Lyft operate in Palm Springs, as do traditional taxi services. These are useful for quick trips around town if you prefer not to drive.
- Bicycles: Palm Springs is a bike-friendly city with many designated bike lanes and routes. You can rent a bike to explore the city at your own pace.
- Public Transportation: The SunLine Transit Agency operates the public bus service in Palm Springs, with routes connecting various parts of the city. However, buses might not be as convenient for some tourists due to limited hours and frequency.
- Walking: If you`re staying downtown, many attractions, restaurants, and shops are within walking distance. Walking can be pleasant during the cooler months, but remember that Palm Springs can get very hot, especially in the summer.
- Scooters: Some areas of Palm Springs also have electric scooters for rent, which can be a fun way to get around.

Family-Friendly:
We’ve thoughtfully equipped the home for families traveling with young children, including a pack ’n play with crib sheets, high chair, sound machine, baby bath, baby monitor, kid-friendly cups, plates, bowls, and utensils, plus books, games, and puzzles for all ages.

Pet-Friendly Accommodations:
We welcome one dog only (up to 60 lbs) for a $150 pet fee per stay to cover additional cleaning. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pet. Dogs may not be left unattended, are not allowed in the pool, and excessive mess (such as urine or feces) will result in an additional $200 cleaning fee. Please let us know in advance if you are traveling with a dog.

Pool Heating:
Pool heating is available for an additional $125 per day (plus tax) due to the high natural gas usage. This fee will be billed prior to arrival if requested. Please note the pool cleaner services the pool Monday and Thursday mornings and accesses the yard through the side gate.

Hot Tub:
The hot tub is included in your nightly rate and can be heated using the backyard controls. Please allow up to 2 hours to reach 100–102°F. If you’d like it warmed up before arrival, just message us and we’ll be happy to turn it on.

Desert Living:
This home is located in the desert where sand and wind are common. On windy days, some sand may enter the pool. While our pool cleaners do their best to remove it, a small amount may remain. The windiest season is typically April through June.

Noise:
The home is located near the airport, and guests may see or hear planes overhead. Most guests find this entertaining rather than disruptive, and the airport observes an overnight curfew.

Air Conditioning:
The home has a fully functioning AC system; however, during extreme summer heat (above 110°F), we recommend setting the thermostat no lower than 72°F to prevent freezing the unit. Please keep all windows and doors closed while the AC is running.

Parking:
The garage is not available for guest parking. Please park in the driveway or on the street directly in front of the home.

City Requirements:
Under City of Palm Springs regulations (including Ordinance No. 2075), all guests must sign a Rules & Regulations document prior to arrival, and a valid driver’s license from at least one guest is required for identification. These requirements are mandatory to maintain our rental permit, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
