  • Pelican patiently waits for some fish scraps from the user of a man cleaning his fish. There are 2 piers in Panama and both cost $3 to walk them. The one closest to Pier Park is further out into the Gulf so it's more worth it if you can only do 1 pier. They do stamp your hand so you can go on and off it all day. On the pier a lot of people fish so watch for them hooks. From what I was told to fish in Florida you need a salt water and a fresh water licence in order to fish in the different waters. There are also signs posted on the pier about how to handle a situation if sea turtles get caught.

There was mold in the bathroom and the hallway by the bathroom. The view was awesome. The problem was that there were people on their balconies smoking cigarettes or pot. It was tough to sit out there. It would have been nice to know to bring coffee filters and dishwashing liquid. Also, even though there was a fitness center, we were unable to use it because it is only for owners unless an entrance card was left. How would we have known that? The unit really needs to be undated. The refrigerator was very loud and there was a piece off the microwave. The light fixture in the bathroom was covered with dirt.

Location is the only thing that stands out great

This room was very outdated and smelled bad. The shower had a used bar of soap still in the shower, along with black mold around the inside door of the shower. You could tell that the shower had not been touched since the last booking. Prepare to wake up with the sun because there are no blackout curtains. The curtains are shear and see through so there’s no use in closing them. The sofa felt dirty and had several stains. The bed in this condo was extremely firm and hard as anything I’ve ever slept on. The kitchen was functional but did have a broken dishwasher rack and cabinet doors that were faulty and wouldn’t close. We paid for an early check in and got there an hour early. Even though our room was clean at the time we had to wait in the car for an hour. When it was finally time to get in the door code wouldn’t work. It took 15 minutes and having to confirm that we did indeed pay for early check in to get another code. They want to charge for early check in but make you leave earlier than other condos as well. Be prepared to check out at 9:00AM. Normally checkout times are between 10:00 and 11:00. Also, be diligent and check Southern Vacation reviews before you book. We should have done this but didn’t know at the time. Overall, we wouldn’t book this condo again. The views were great and the Majestic is always a great place to stay but this unit NEEDS work and renovation.

Perfect for our family of 3

The condo was in a great location and a great size. The king sized bed had a very very firm mattress. It could use some touch up paint in places and a shower liner replacement, but overall as advertised and my kids had a great time.
