Overall the stay was not bad. The hotel has a very centric location, it is new, clean and I appreciated the swimming pool. The check in experience was somewhat disappointing, not because of the front desk, who did a great job with an amazing smile and good customer service, but the fact that the in-room safes and flexible/removeable and not tied to the wall or to any furniture. Apparently, this is standard in this hotel, which I find crazy as if so, this completely invalidates the mandate of the safe itself. Would you look your valuables in a safe that can be removed and taken by any staff member or intruder without any effort? Management should wake up! This is non-negotiable for me and probably for most responsible travelers from the Western world. Maintenance made an exception and screwed it into the furniture, as it was supposed to be. Access card didn't work to enter the room. Aside from the check in experience and that I had to return 3x from the room to reception, the stay was uneventful. I put the DO NOT disturb electronic sign on my door, housekeeping ignored it, entered to clean the room. One more reason why the in-room safe issue needs to be deal with overall in this hotel. I probably would not return as I feel, management fails to understand a few things here.
