”I booked 3 nights, but ended up staying a week. Place is nice, clean, cosy, staff superfriendly, surroundings very beautiful and peaceful. Kitchen is well equipped and there is lots of space. Dorm room was warm enough for me, I find most of the NZ hostels too cold on winter time. Moana Lodge is truly a home away from home and good place to stay if you need a break from busy Wellington. Only thing I wish to change is that they should have unlimited wi-fi., altough I did get as much those 1GB...

”If you are 20 and looking for a place to store your stuff while you are partying in Wgtn, this place is perfect. If you want to sleep or be somewhere hygienic this is not the place for you. The walls are paper thin to the point you can hear people’s individual conversations. All night long. The security light in the hallway does not turn off and will shine through the cracks in your door so that it is never completely dark. The kitchen is filthy and I would not prepare my food there if you paid...
