My sister, daughter, and I had a nice stay at Felicia's flat in Paris. The apartment is in an up-and-coming neighborhood, and we enjoyed heading to the canal for dinner and morning pasteries. Close to Gare du Nord and Gare de l'est and metro stops.
Below are a few realities to consider:
- There are three beds--however, only one bedroom with a door. One bed (king) is in the main/master bedroom, which also includes the shower and bathroom sink (one room). The second bed is in a loft above the kitchen/dining area, accessed via a steep set of steps (almost a ladder). The loft has low sloped ceilings, and I could only stand up on the far side opposite the stairs/ladder (I am 5' 6"). I couldn't stand up as I climbed the stairs to the loft and terrace due to little clearance (you have to hunch over). The final bed is in a small room next to the living room up in a small cubby accessed through a child-sized hole in the ceiling and a ladder.
- The toilet is in a separate room next to the kitchen and dining table.
- There are a lot of tricky stairs (no lift).
- There are four floors. The street-level entry with laundry, 1st floor with kitchen/master bedroom/bath, 2nd floor with bed and desk, and 3rd floor was the rooftop terrace.
- It was nice to have a large (for Paris) kitchen and main room for prepping meals and eating.
- The terrace was wonderful.
- Felicia was very responsive and easy to work with.
