Taatut unet Okko-hotellissa
Erittäin siisti, moderni, rauhallinen hotelli. Hyvä aamupala ja erityisen hyvät sängyt ja tyynyt. Loistava äänieristys. Vieressä oli rakennustyömaa, eikä sieltä kuulunut mitään ääniä. Sai todella hyvin nukuttua. Ystävällinen nuori henkilökunta. Ainut pieni miinus, jos siitä viitsii edes mainita, oli aseman ympäristön aiheuttama levottomuus. Toisaalta oli hyvä, että asema on ihan vieressä, se teki liikkumisesta kätevää.

Äänieristetyt huoneet, ulkoa ei kuulu mitään ääniä viereiseltä juna-asemalta. Hotelli tarjosi 18.30-20.00 välillä ilmaista pikkupurtavaa. Ilmaisia alkoholittomia juomia tarjolla jääkaapista 24/7. Huone kompakti, mutta toimiva. Hyvä aamupala, mm. munakokkelia ja pekonia, lohta, kinkkua, juustoja, leipää ja jogurttia.

Hotelli sijaitsee ison rautatieaseman vieressä, mistä pääsee kätevästi metrolla ympäri Pariisia, myös toinen iso rautatieasema, josta pääsee junalla lentokentälle(CDG)on lyhyen kävelymatkan päässä. Hotellin aamupala oli monipuolinen. Kivana extrana hotellissa oli hotellin asukkaille tarjolla juomia(limpparit, mehu, vesi ja soodavesi) sekä pientä purtavaa (hedelmiä, pähkinöitä ja makeita leivoksia) koko ajan. Hotelli oli hinta-laatusuhteeltaan oikein hyvä!

The hotel is an oasis in a crowded and noisy neighborhood. The staff are friendly and efficient. Decor is simple and pleasing. Coffee, tea, and snacks available in The Club. Arrived in Paris on the train from London at the Gare du Nord. Left on another train from the Gare de l’est. Short walks coming and going. Great experience all around.

OKKO is een 4-sterrenhotel vlakbij Gare de l'Est (je hebt geen geluidsoverlast), maar is niet even gemakkelijk te vinden, want het adres (Rue d'Alsace 30A) is op een verdiep terwijl het hotel 'beneden' ligt. Je moet 30 euro bijbetalen als je voor 14u in je kamer wilt, zelf al is die al klaar. Ik vind dit nogal overdreven zeker voor een Expedia Gold Member. Daarnast zat er geen slot op ons toilet en kon je de deur ook niet sluiten, waardoor je deze elke keest moest vasthouden bij gebruik. Douche heeft een glazen wand en 'badkamer' is deel van de kamer (niet afzonderlijk) dus onder vrienden/vriendinnnen is dit niet echt handig qua privacy. Daarnaast is het zeer onhandig dat je de lichten van de 'badkamer' niet kan aanzetten tenzij je alle lichten in de kamer aansteekt, wat onhandig is voor je reisgezel. Daarnaast is het personeel enorm vriendelijk, baggage wordt altijd netjes bewaard, stijl van het hotel is zeer modern en aangenaam. Het is een praktisch hotel, maar verwacht geen luxe ondanks het 4 sterren heeft.

First time in Paris. Picked this hotel due to the proximity to train station Gare du Nord only 5 min walk very convenient. Hotel was very nice, clean, comfortable beds quiet hotel. Free coffee was very good. I did not get the breakfast so cant comment on that. The area of the hotel felt a bit shady especially at night. It was no problem but I would not feel comfortable alone at night. Once inside the hotel gated area though it was fine. The shower was very slow to drain kept leaking outside the shower area onto the floor which was a bit inconvenient. Delicious bakery nearby right across street from Gare du Nord. Thank you for a comfortable stay.

My daughter and me felt unsafe to walk to and from the hotel. Lots of guys gathering around the entrance of the hotel gate. In addition saw every night prostitutes around the hotel. Once you were inside the hotel complex it was fine.

Prior to booking, reviews stated it was a safe area, however, upon arrival that was not the case. The hotel locks the gates after a certain time and failed to mention at check in and had a hard time getting ahold of anyone to let us back inside being in an area. The shower did not drain properly and the staff was more than happy to remedy the situation but sent maintenance in our room while we were not in the room nor aware. They moved us room but only to have to same plumbing problem. Would not recommend.

Great location if you need to access gare du nord or gare de l’est by foot. Clean, quiet and very friendly staff. No mini bar in room but i loved it because i cannot stand the noise it makes at night. They offer soft drinks and snacks, including gluten free! (for free) in the club area, i loved it!

The Hotel is just next to the Metro station, but there is no noise at all. The 2min walk to the station is very safe. The room place is well kept clean and up to date The best part of the accomodations is the 24 hr club, where you can enjoy snacks, coffee and water for free!

There was an overwhelming sent of perfume in the lobby, and sitting area. Just awful to walk into that. It was very unnecessary and could not sit to drink coffee because the sent was so overbearing. The staff is friendly & nice. Don’t Expect water bottles in the rooms, only filtered in the lobby. I found alot of dust in the room and the sheets give off so much lint. So keep your stuff away from the bed. Major plus is the subways are down the block & it’s a lively area so you won’t feel unsafe.

OKKO Paris Est is my home away from home when in Paris. It’s only a few hundred meters from the platform of my High Speed Train service to Strasbourg. 5 minute walk also from Gare du Nord. Situated near very important transportation hubs. Places to eat and shops in Gare De L’Est. The booking design is refreshing and the CIWL Orient Express train theme within the hotel is very neat and well thought out it beeing right next to platform 1 of Gare De L’est. I’ve stayed here a dozen times and love it here.
