Well appointed cabin
It rained but we were well taken care of in the cabin. Lots of space for family to be rather the stuck in close quarters and then when sun came out front deck / yard was lovely. Well appointed cabin- everything you could think of was at hand in the kitchen. Great stay!

We booked this house for our Family Eclipse Trip and it was perfect! We had everything we needed. House was clean, check in was easy, hosts were available for any questions we had at any time of our stay. Perfect place to see the eclipse. Group going Salmon fishing
The place was located perfectly for our group salmon fishing trip. Clean and layout was great for our needs. The only downfall was the rain. We are booking again with Bruce. The communication on checking in and out was fantastic.

The log ranch had spaces with enough room for all 8 of us to gather together for meals and games. There were several locations inside and out for privacy as desired. Beds were comfortable, kitchen had all we needed to prepare great meals. Outside lawns were perfect for bocce games and the collection of Adirondack chairs scattered around and the deck furniture made outdoor living very pleasant. The weather was hot but the pond was ideal for a swim to cool off. Inside temperatures were ideal.

Quick vacation
The floors were being redone in our house so we had to find another place to stay for 6 days that would allow us to bring our Golden Retriever, Max. The house was perfect. 4 ponds for the kids and dog to play in. Beautiful property with a lot of wildlife to sit and watch. We were able to relax and enjoy our mini vacation.

Home away from home
The location of Bruce & Caryn's property is great. Even though there are neighbors nearby, they have enough acreage that you don't realize they are there. We had plenty of lawn space to play the outdoor games we had brought with us. The 2 ponds right outside the front door of the property are nice to look at, but we also used them for cooling down on the hot days. Because the ponds are on the smaller side, we looked up nearby lakes/boat launches to use our kayaks. We had everything we needed including all kitchen conveniences, bedding, towels, etc. Walmart and fast food options were close by and any activity we considered was within 20 minutes. While we were there we went to a state park with a beach and did an escape room at Destiny USA Mall in Syracuse. The hot tub was a huge plus, especially since it rained a couple of days during our stay. The back screened in porch (with the hot tub) was perfect for playing games and just hanging out. Bruce was very responsive and kept us apprised of his need to come to the property to pick up some items he needed for a family situation while we there. There was one thing that happened that was a little disappointing. Bruce had provided us with directions on how to get to a creek on the property. We followed the directions but ended up having to turn back. After walking through the woods for a while, following the orange and yellow ties on the trees, we never found a path that led right to the creek.

Salmon run fishing trip
Property is beautiful, close to local fishing spots. Owners are friendly and have a open line of communication. Also a fisherman’s dream cabin with the family. Very happy and relaxed with our stay. The home feels like your own home. Close to fast food, gas station and Walmart ! The area is very friendly to all which I appreciated such friendliness. Overall price is far for what you get. Safe for children! Would highly recommend.

Brothers Bachelor Party
Me and nine other guys got together for my brothers bachelor party and this property let us have a great time we did use an air mattress to accommodate all of us and it was certainly cozy but for the price and property it was perfect. The lawn was great for yard games, campfire made delicious s’mores, and the hot tub was the perfect way to wind down. Would definitely stay again.

Serene and relaxing
Had a wonderful stay. The property feels very remote (although there are neighbors a ways off that we can't see). Didn't see another person the whole time. We have 2 dogs that loved playing in the pond. Very dog friendly property. We took walks in the woods, time in the hot tub, lots of relaxing, reading and just spending quiet time watching the incredible scenery.

Peaceful Cabin
The bottom line is that this was a great experience! We stayed here during the week of my daughter's graduation from Syracuse University. Bruce and Caryn were very responsive to our questions and went out of their way to help us change the dates due to unforeseen circumstances. (Thanks again). The home was very clean with ample towels and clear house rules and directions. AC worked very well, and we made use of the available gas grille. The property is secluded and private but not remote and is within a 10-minute ride to stores and gas. There are plenty of amenities to keep you occupied or you can just take in the beauty of the site as we did by sitting on the front deck. My 2 yr. old granddaughter quickly found the available toys which she spent hours in the rear porch playing with. The pictures accurately show the property so if you like them, stay here we’re glad we did.

Peaceful and very relaxing...
The house and property were absolutely beautiful. Everything was clean and well taken care of... The only down side, if we had to say; was the distance to where we had to drive to fish. That being said, for the time of year we we're up there, the scenery made up for the 10 to 12 minute ride. Overall an A++ place to stay. Bruce and Caryn are Dynamite host! We stayed for three nights and had a great time. The kids loved the ponds, and spent the days catching frogs, fish and other little creatures. They went out in the canoe and row boat. And we explored the property to find a creek in the woods. Was a comfortable stay. We were happy to have booked here.

Back to nature
This home is beautiful and very secluded, no neighbors to be seen. The front deck is where I spent most of my time with lots of room and a view of the pond. It has a great outdoor fireplace with boats & canoes on each pond. My sister paddled out one day & she also took advantage of the hot tub every night. We took day trips to Lake Ontario, Salmon River Reservoir & Salmon River Falls. We enjoyed watching the Olympics on the big screen TV each night, USA! It has a great big kitchen for lots of cooks & a lovely dining room for eating. All in all it was a wonderful, relaxing week with family. Peaceful stay
We really enjoyed the open space at the property. The kids loved fishing and canoeing in the ponds, riding bikes in the long driveway and walking the trails in the woods. We also enjoyed the hot tub every day we were there.

We had a great stay at this property. Our two small dogs also enjoyed the home. There were nice hiking trails to a stream and 3 ponds. It was very convenient to the Village, I-81, and the Syracuse area. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Excellent accomodations with excellent people
Our family stayed a few days during the fall 2020 salmon season and we could not have been happier. The owners are extremely nice people who provided an immaculant home with anything anyone could possibly want. From the beauty of the hand crafted woodwork and stained glass artwork throughout to many other tasteful decorations, there seemed to be something classy and interesting everywhere you looked. Peaceful and private would be the two words worth emphasizing. One would not be regretful of renting such a beautful home from such beautiful people. This property has it all & the owners are some of the best I've dealt with over years of using HAFH or VRBO. The house has everything you need, the property is of the beaten path with no disturbances from the outside world. We saw deer roaming the property, along with 2 nice ponds to enjoy. Very secluded yet easy to find. And close to activities and attractions.
The cabin was very nice and cozy. The kitchen is very large with plenty of room to cook and gather. Along with the dining area. The living room is beautiful! We had a wonderful time! We also loved the hot tub! The owners were very helpful and could be easily reached.

Worth every penny!
The property is beautiful and very private. Wish the weather was a little nicer during our stay but we still had the chance to hike the property and fish in the ponds. I will definitely revisit in the near future. Bruce and Caryn were very helpful and responded very quickly!

Bruce is a super host always trying to meet our requests. The home was a perfect location to the salmon river about 20 minutes. The house has nice gathering areas where we could sit around and tell fish stories, eat and relax. The outdoor ponds and woods makes this a quiet setting away from crowds.

Girls Weekend
This house was perfect for a fun girls weekend getaway! The enclosed porch with hot tub was definitely a highlight of the house. The property was beautiful and quiet. It had everything we needed! Will definitely recommend this one!

Fantastic!
Thank you Bruce and Caryn for your generous hospitality. We loved our weekend gateway in your beautiful home. The cabin was exceptionally clean, comfortable and we had ever amenity we could possibly need and more. The weather was picture perfect; we left the windows open all weekend. We all had a great time for hiking the property, fishing, having campfires and relaxing in the hot tub. Seriously couldn’t have asked for anything better, thank you!

Peaceful Getaway
We would definatley recomend this property, very peaceful and relaxing, unfortunatley for us we was on the go 24/7, we only had a few chances to use the Hot Tub off which we found to be very clean. The outside area was kept very nice we did not have time to light a fire around the pit, (did manage to catch a few fish) Definatley a place we would return to in the future thank you for letting us stay in your lovely house.

Outstanding hideaway!
My family and I were looking for a nice quiet place away from many of the places where you are on top of other families because the properties are too close to each other. Its definitely not the case here. Almost 40 acres of privacy, a few nice ponds to fish in, and a great place where we could just unwind. My wife, my three sons (ages 19, 16, and 13), and I all enjoyed the nice quiet days and nights. (They were the ones that voted for this property over going to Cedar Point because they felt we would be rushing too much and not enjoying our time together.) We fished in two of the ponds that were stocked with Blue Gills, and Large and Small Mouth Bass. We spent great family time just unplugging from our electronics and played cards and a few family games together. We enjoyed each other's company without having to worry about who was going to work and when. I almost forgot about the star gazing...it was absolutely amazing! The only unfortunate thing was we could only arrange a weekend between our five schedules. We would like to do this again for a longer stretch of time. The location is great too because we could easily make it to Syracuse in 15 to 20 minutes, or to other attractions if we had to. But for the most part we stayed right on property. Bruce and Caryn were great hosts and we highly recommend this property for a chance to get away. Especially if you want to connect with the family again considering how quickly all of our lives are moving. Thanks again for a great time. Beautiful property! Nice people!
This place is great for a little getaway in the country, especially if you want to catch a few fish in the ponds on property. The owners are very nice people, and walked us through all the quirks of the house when we got there. Everything was clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

Relaxing retreat
The house is in a lovely and quiet rural location, within an easy drive of Syracuse and beautiful lakes. The grounds are perfect for relaxing and escaping from it all in. Bruce and Caryn are really helpful hosts and very responsive.
