"This is a hotel with a lot of potential. Some of the premises are a bit worn out and in need of renovation. The spa is small but very nice. The treatments and personnel there were great! However, from the point of view of customer experience the 5 euro extra charge feels ridiculous in a hotel of this price range. We ate at the restaurant a few times: the food and service there were very good. The breakfast was also quite nice. Our daughter’s jeans got stained with rust from the swings in the playground. The chains should be changed. Again, from the point of view of customer experience, it felt ridiculous that we had to insist that the hotel should not charge us for the laundry. The balcony and sofas there were dirty. Despite these smallish issues, we’d be happy to return :)"

"Our stay at Penha Longa was absolutely lovely. The service and the hotel were top to the finest details. We enjoyed our holiday with our toddler and never felt this welcomed. It really warmed our hearts to see how everyone paid attention to our little one. The hotel is located in such a beautiful venue and there was plenty of activities to do, our favorites were the spa and buggy rides. We will definitely return!"

"Breakfast was good, but not overwhelming. Breakfast service did not include any vegetables, which was dissapointment. However, nice views (to the sea) for the breakfast room did fix the dissapointment quick. Excellent food with reasonable prices offered in the bar. Service was top notch. We did not dine in the main restaurant, as it was fully booked on our arrival, and closed on Sun/Mon. My suggestion is to book dinner well in advance. Other good restaurants in walking distance. Good example is Porto Santa Maria. Our room was on the 1st floor. Room was OK and surprisingly quiet, although entrance from main count yard. Staff was very friendly and helpful. "
