”The accommodation itself is good, the large garden is well maintained, the dinner and breakfast were good, the staff was friendly. Unfortunately, our room smelled very musty, brown water initially ran out of the tap, which didn't make a good impression.”

”Smallish lodge with informative game drives. Staff really nice a friendly. Accomodation was clean and comfortable. Nice to have a couple of Hippo's hanging out the front. Food good without being over the top. Given the weather, didnt get to make much use of the outdoor area, but would be nice in summer. My only gripe is when I neede to cancel and rebook, it took almost 2 months and the commencement of credit card chargeback to get my refund (which was not disputed). ”

On negative side -large airy village units only have warmish water not hot - village units outdoor showers had waist high weeds - supper menus are 5 course set menus that are repeated & are expensive for quality - restaurant staff lacking management & training - receptionists could do hostessing/oversight at meal times & spot checks on housekeeping/condition of units and gardens to support and train staff but do not - lack of comfy...

”Absolutely loved our stay. We had 3 nights (spent one day self-driving in Addo Elephant Park and one day on a safari at a nearby private game reserve). Lovely place with really lovely and friendly staff and good food. Excellent location near the entrance to Addo Elephant Park. Highly recommend staying here!”

”We had a fantastic 3 days at Addo River-View Lodge. Our hostess, Leanne, was fabulous and very helpful and informative. The proximity of the location to Addo Elephant Park was ideal and we booked a guided full day tour there. We also enjoyed a sunset boat trip on the Sundays River and climbed the sand dunes. The local restaurant, Taste of Africa, was excellent and less than a 3 minute walk. Highly recommended.”

Die Couch im Wohnzimmer ist durchgesessen und weißt starke Gebrauchsspuren auf, welche durch eine Decke verdeckt werden. Ca 100m neben an befindet sich eine Tankstelle, ein SPAR und ein Parkplatz, welcher rege von großen Trucks genutzt wird, Obwohl das Appartment zur Fluß Seite liegt, empfand ich entspanntes relaxen auf dem großzügigen Balkon etwas schwierig. ”Die Mitarbeiter im Restaurant waren freundlich und bemüht. Keine Zimmerreinigung. Nur ein Handtuch für zwei Personen. Pool sehr dreckig, somit nicht benutzbar. Besitzer und Manager uninteressiert und und unfreundlich. Preis/Leistung schlecht -> Unterkunft an sich in Ordnung aber zu teuer. Würden hier nicht wieder hin gehen.”

”Wir hatten ein hübsches Chalet mit reetgedecktem Dach. Das Auto parkte direkt daneben unter einem Baum. Auf dem Gelände gibt es Springbok und andere Tiere zur ständigen Beobachtung. Auch ein Schwimmbad mit Liegen und Schattenplatz ist auf dem Gelände. Das Hotel liegt an einer Straße und an einer Farm. Beide können Lärm verursachen, wie auch einige Wildvögel oder Tiere aus dem am Hotel gelegenen Tierpark mit sehenswerter Großvoliere.”
