”Well maintained, staff were very couteous and mini golf was quite fun. We stayed in the farm house that can accomodate upto 12 guests (4 Bedrooms and 2 Bathrooms), the house was decorated with antique/rusty tools that gave it a unique character,kids loved it!! Overall it was a fun experience.”

”This would be a great space to have a romantic getaway with your other half. The space was exactly as described and bland is such a wonderful town. The only thing I wish was that they had at least one recliner. Also to the host please replace the window sill on the left side it would be shame to let the termites get into those old logs. Thanks for such a wonderful stay I never expected to find such a clean wonderful place to stay. Everything was perfect for a weekend getaway.”

”Great place for a short stay! Tons of accessories in the kitchen for cooking--probably once of the best stocked homes we've stayed in. Only downside (and maybe this info is in the listing and we overlooked it), but you have to walk through the front bedroom to get to the second bedroom. ”The cabin is quite large, large enough for 3 children, ages 11, 9 and 4 and 4 adults so that everyone had their own space! The lake proximity is perfect and the highlight of the weekend was kayaking. There were 4 but we could have used one more so we could all go out together. There were life jackets! The youngest loved the hot tub and it was clean! The kitchen was well-equipped. The beds were comfortable. We would return again! ”

”We absolutely adored our time here at The Retreat! The location was amazing (seriously, couldn’t be better!) and we loved everything about our stay! Personally, I loved being able to cook upstairs and watch the firepit from porch upstairs while the boys hung out next to it. Tammy was also was fantastic. Responded quickly to our questions. ”We stayed at the home while getting our son settled in as a freshman at Virginia Tech and also spent some time enjoying the area. It's an older building in a rustic setting, but the home has been updated and we found it to be clean and comfortable. The nearby creek is lovely. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.”
