”Booked this room for an overnight stay to attend a family event the next day .The staff were friendly & welcoming everything we needed to know was explained .We were not pressured to eat at the pub but enjoyed the reasonably priced bar meals we chose .The food was freshly cooked The owner was especially helpful as we needed to change to go to the event .The pub was unable to offer an extension on the room.checkout but let us change in one of the new soon to be released rooms free of charge...

”Our room was Yew and Eye, one of the newly built cabins in the garden of this historic inn with a twist. The design is like nothing we’ve ever seen before with surprises every way you look. The room itself has human eyeballs as a decorative theme which was fascinating and amusing. The standard double bed was extremely comfortable, there was plenty of useful storage and good ventilation. ”Stayed just for one night before an early flight. I was very impressed. Nice, clean room, friendly staff, easy drive to Gatwick. Only gave a 3 star for staff as the barman was obviously very new and hadn’t yet been taught all he needed to know. I would recommend.”

”Hotel was very good, if compared to price/quality. If you don´t come straight from freeway, then the road is very narrow and if any cars come across, then one needs to back off to the spot where is wide eanough for 2 cars :) Freeway´s noise is not that bad. Very good choise for budget travelling and if you use car.”
