”We had fallen in love with Artist Residence in Brighton so we wanted to stay in this fab hotel in Penzance, too. We stayed in the newest add to the hotel rooms, the cottage. Wow! If you want a unique country style cottage just for you and your family or friends, then this is your choice. We were blown away by the great interior of this unique cottage in the backyard of the hotel. Although every little detail was very well thought of (like in every Artist Residence room) and the design was...

”Terrible odor in hotel and room on arrival. Our window to harbor was adjacent to our neighbors room who could see right into our room if we kept window/door open . We checked in and left immediately. Very disappointing and hotel staff did not question why we were leaving after just checking in.”

”What a wonderful stay we had at Walter. The house is very well maintained with lots of thoughtful little extras and decorations.
Communication with the property owners worked like a charm, key was on site with a code sent to us for opening the box directly at the front door.
We would love to come back, enjoyed our time at this fantastic little cottage.”

”The property was clean and presented well. It was a nice touch with the welcome basket and milk tea/coffee. There were shops/restaurants close by and about. 10 min walk to take buses/trains to other parts of Cornwall.
A couple of negatives but not a big deal is that we had to buy toilet paper as we were only left with one spare roll for our 5 night stay. There were roadworks right outside the house every day for the five days.. work crews would show up with machines and start working at...

”The cottage is fine and it is in a nice location BUT the details of the cottage listed on the Expedia website and Sykes Cottages are different and misleading. Expedia shows the cottage to be within the Penzance city centre & 8 minute walk from the ferry terminal. The cottage is 8 miles (13 kms.) from the Penzance city centre. Map apps and a GPS do not recognize the exact location of the cottage. It took us a long time to find the cottage. Sykes Cottages list the cottage to have a washer (there...
