Transport: CAT buses provide a free, frequent and wheelchair accessible bus service in the city, operating on red, blue, yellow and green routes. The Free Transit Zone (FTZ) allows you to travel on other buses within the City of Perth boundaries, without paying a fare.

You really don't need a car to explore Perth, the FREE Cat bus system takes you all over, 5 routes to all things Perth, hop on & off as you please:) Take a bus up to Kings Park, enjoy the breath taking views of Perth and gain an understanding of the City layout, the botanical gardens are also in Kings Park showcasing our flora and an "in the trees" glass high-bridge walk.

The red cat bus stop is located aprx 1 minute walk away. The Red CAT travels in an East-West loop from Queens Gardens in East Perth to Outram St in West Perth and is convenient for Kings Park, city shopping, the Perth train station and east Perth hotels. Central Area Transit (CAT) buses are free!
Perth Bus port is also located right next to the Perth Train Station, here you can hop on a train which will take you on the Armadale, Fremantle, Joondalup, Midland or Thornlie lines - very easy to access parts of Perth!
