The room was practical and clean. Staff were pleasant and welcoming. The pool and hot tub were great! Didn’t end up trying the breakfast. However, my one complaint is that the vending machines are ridiculous. I bought pop twice. $4 each time. My credit card shows $20 each. My card is set up to text me for all charges which is the only way I would have known so quickly. I spoke to the front desk Who said they don’t control it,the vending company does and gave me the number to call. I called and spoke to the vendor guy who said the amount was simply on hold and should be refunded in the next 24-48 hrs. “Like a gas station”. However, at a gas station, the hold is refunded before I tighten the gas cap. The vending guy then tells me “it’s not me, it’s the bank!” I looked up the vending company based on my credit card statement SH Vending. A google search of them reveals a long list of complaints for overcharges and nonsense “holds” for excessive time. This vendor needs to be removed from an otherwise pleasant hotel.
