We loved it
My two boys (aged 9 and 7) and I had a fabulous time at this lovely little place. Stunning location, amazing beaches, kind and thoughtful hosts, table tennis and a pool table, goats to feed, and even a puppy to play with. They’ve asked (repeatedly!) if we can come back again next year.

Fabulous views of the Pacific Ocean greeted us on arrival. The weather that day was not the best but it improved over night. The Man Cave entertainment shed was a great place to wind down after a long drive. The Rustic guest suite was very comfortable and just as we imagined it to be. The water pressure could be a little better but not a major problem. A phone call from the owner that afternoon made us feel very welcome.

We were blown away by the panoramic views of the ocean from the bach. Great location and lots to do in the area for the whole family and even the dogs. Mark was a great host and we enjoyed use of the man cave. Would definitely book again.

What an amazing place Mark and Fleur have to share. Spectacular views, amazing sun, and such a caring welcome. Lovely and quiet, great man shed where my son and I battled away for supremacy of the pool table. Special mention to their wonderful dogs, whiwhi was a charmer! Hope to return in the future.

Pacifica has breathtaking elevated views and lovely surroundings. The bach unit offered everything my family needed. We enjoyed the location, being away from the crowds but also reasonably close to both Ohope and Mt Manganui. Mark and Fleur were excellent hosts.

An amazing adventure in the most spectacular location
Gorgeous sea views, high on the hill and amazing surroundings! A perfect 3 night stay. So much fun for our kids (2 and 4) and us! Mark and Fleur are such wonderful hosts - warm, friendly and so hospitable. We loved our time here so much (especially the outdoor bath). Kids had a blast and we would love to come back! Beach is only a very short drive away and some amazing lagoons.

Great host. Property was very suitable for a weekend relaxing getaway. Minimal cooking facilities but outdoor BBQ. Great views ,waking up to the sounds if the beach. Great pub down the road at Matata. Barn with pool table. We would go back.

Great place!
We really enjoyed our stay, was nice and private and quite, the only thing that i would say that could improve the place was cooking facilities and utensils other then that awsome place and we will be back sometime 😀 The barn was definitely a highlight too us along with the outdoor bath unfortunately for us the weather wasn't the best but hopefully next time it is. Tha ks for having us!

Great place to relax
What a wonderful place! Nicely secluded, but not too far away, lots of privacy, cosy unit with enough amenities for a short stay - bbq, microwave, fridge, oven - all quite small but perfectly functional for a few nights. Mark was a superb host, available to say hello and get some local insights. The view over the beach is amazing, watching the waves crash and the islands in the distance while sipping a wine or beer is truly relaxing.

Stunning secret spot
Absolutely stoked to have found and stayed at this seemingly secret spot high above the moana. The bach was modern, clean and warm, a perfect getaway for 2 adults, or with young kids in tow. This is a gorgeous little palace to stay for just two of you. One of the few places that is better than the listing shows. Clean, tidy, warm, amazing shower. Comfortable large bed. Lying in bed watching the sun rise over the ocean was magic. Was a shame to have to head home.

The View - as you rise up over the snaking driveway that sits between an avocado orchard, Tangaroa greets you with his vast blue expance. Breath taking is an under statement. The Barn - a man cave equipped with all the nesessities for an evening of utter enjoyment. Table tennis, pool, darts or just relax in the ample lounging space. Rustic slabs of timber crafted into barleaners are scattered about to enjoy a beverage upon. Setting - perched high on the cliff tops looking over state highway 2, this whenua is the perfect place to rejuvenate your wairua. Peaceful and private this piece of paradise absolutely calls you back. Outdoor Bath - the crackling firepit radiates heat across, as you bathe under the night sky. Privately nestled in its own corner while you soak listening to the waves break gently onto the shore below. Doggie friendly - being able to have our fur baby Neela join us, meant the world. She played in the long grass, sat and staired out to sea, and with the beach across the way, she frolicked in the waves and ran for miles a long the beach, before retreating back up the hill for a warm outside shower to rinse off all the sand. The owners - warm, welcoming, kind and generous. With the offering of plump organic avocados, the owner welcomed us to their whare. Their graciousness toward us has left an impression. Thank you so much for sharing your piece of paradise. Nga mihi nui, see you again.

What a fab little place!
The accommodation sits up on the hillside overlooking the beach opposite, and Whakaari! The wee place is not overlooked by the rest of the property or the road so the outdoor shower (with hot running water) was a treat! The indoor furnishings (including bathroom) were cosy and looked fairly new, and the place was spotless and comfortable. Super quiet and the crashing waves lulled us off to sleep. The barn with pool table and sofas is also a great addition that the property owner invited us to use. Fabulous location for an east coast sunrise and the night stars were super clear. Highly recommend this wee spot.
