Beautiful new 1 bedroom cabin. Covered porches on front and back. Sleeps 4 (queen bed and pullout sofa). Conveniently located 10 minutes from Pilot Mtn State Park, 20 Minutes from Hanging Rock State Park, 20 Minutes from Dan River, 20 minutes from Mt. Airy (Mayberry), 25 minutes to Winston-Salem. Direct access to the Sauratown Horse Riding Trails (located at section 9 of the trails. Full kitchen, free Wi-Fi, gas grill, Heat/AC. Visit our website https://lakotarockcabins.com.

Great location for accessing both Hanging Rock and Pilot Mountain state parks. Kitchen is well stocked with things you need for cooking your own meals. Outdoor hangout spots include a front porch with rockers and glide bench, back deck with grill and table and a side patio with a firepit! Very clean, well kept!

This is an amazing cabin. Very quaint, cozy and very well maintained. We enjoyed our weekend. This was a Valentines getaway for my wife and I. We will come back for more getaway trips to this cabin. This was a great getaway. The cabin was indeed cozy and conveniently located in between the two State Parks - Pilot Mountain and Hanging Rock. For such a small space it had everything needed for our stay. Loved it and would definitely come back again.

Absolutely LOVED this cabin. We felt right at home. From the front porch rocking chairs with a Mountain View, to the back porch grill with mountains views, to cuddling up inside - it made for a relaxing stay!! We loved that there were already your basic kitchen essentials there (pots, pans, strainers, etc.). The shower was AMAZING and the bed was really comfy. We also loved that there were games in the closet too. We’re big card gamers, board gamers and regular gamers so that was a nice touch!!

Very cute cabin! First of all, the cabin is VERY clean! Bedroom and bathroom are spacious. Kitchen is very efficient. All 3 outdoor areas have great views and lots of seating! Harlie was very responsive with all inquiries. Location was a great central spot, quick drive to Hanging Rock State Park and also easy drives into both King and Pinnacle

Nice getaway

It was very nice. Bed was comfy. Close to local attractions and wineries. Back porch was nice and relaxing. No complaints except it was obvious the place hadn’t been stayed in recently as there were a few dead flies around the toilet and cob webs on decks that had been there awhile as they were big. Mine is all in the little details. That is a minor complaint. It’s a nice little getaway.

Before the Beach Mountain Getaway

Really enjoyed our two-night stay in the mountains on our way to Kiawah Island for a golf trip. First night - played cards on the back porch listening to the Chuck-Will’s Widows calling to each other. Perfect! The cabin is beautiful, clean, comfortable, and just the right size for a couple’s getaway. It is located on a peaceful road with easy access to Pilot Mountain and Hanging Rock State Parks. Really enjoyed hiking in both places. Took advantage of Harlie’s suggestions for dining and enjoyed them all. Dinners at Tilted Ladder - great chicken tenders and a beer of their patio and Big Creek Lodge - steaks with an amazing view; Breakfast at Trails End Restaurant and Grill - busy with locals who are so friendly they wait their turn in line without the need for a hostess and the staff works their tails off to get your food out fast and hot; and the best ice cream I will eat all year (Black Cherry in a Chocolate Waffle Cone) at Front Porch Creamery. I think we’ve found a new favorite place to getaway just to relax and enjoy nature. Definitely plan to return. Highly recommend even though I’d rather keep it a secret.

A Great Little Cabin!

This was our third stay in the Lakota Rock Cabin. It’s very clean, it has very thing you need for cooking in, and it’s in a great location for hiking in the nearby state parks, and exploring nearby towns and communities. It’s also close to numerous wineries. We will definitely stay here again.

Loved everything about this place. Beautiful cabin with a great view. Cabin is new and very clean. Bed is comfortable. No complaints. We stayed 3 nights and visited Mt. Airy and the 2 nearby State Parks. Loved all 3 of them. Eating places are fairly close. Highly recommend. Would love to return.

Amazing little gem!

Has the best time staying in this adorable cabin for a weekend. Close to everything we wanted to do including Jolo Winery, Mt. Airy and a wedding we were in town for. Had everything we could possibly need and want for a relaxing weekend. The mattress was also amazing! Looking forward to coming back again.
