”The room smelled like the air conditioner filter had never been changed. The shower curtain bottom was sopped with water. The carpet was covered in debris. The television didn’t work. The nightstand lamp didn’t work and the desk lamp was missing a bulb. The window blinds were covered in filth. It was really bad.”

”The place was fine--I don't demand much of a hotel. It is basically a place to sleep. However, more discerning travelers might have been upset by the fact that the supplemental door lock didn't work, one of the shelves in the closed was broken and the one day out of four that we had maid service, they seemed to only half finish the job. They may be very short of staff.”

”Water leak caused water to be shut off during the night. We were told they were waiting for maintenance to come in at 8:30 am. No showers, no toilets, no sense of urgency from the staff. TV barely functioned. Not the first time we've experienced this at this hotel in the past year. We were told the problem would be addressed but clearly that was lip service. Rethinking using this hotel on our periodic trips in the future. No offer of a discount or credit on a future stay.”

”We were in town to see a sick relative and this hotel was not only convenient to get to but the parking was superb- there was coffee available 24/7 and the daily breakfast was outstanding! Always delicious muffins-and not with the fake fruit that is sometimes used in hotels! The hot tub was amazing although the pool was cold! The staff were friendly and welcoming! The bed was very comfortable and room was nicely decorated!”

”For a contactless check-in method, the staff were very accessible -easy to communicate with; the method was great. The room was wonderful. The breakfast was excellent. I met the owners and staff the morning after I checked in (late @ 11:45pm). They couldn't have been more hospitable. I stayed at the Walnut Inn out of necessity, attending a friend's father's funeral, and the Inn could not have been a better place for me to stay. I can imagine others enjoying it for its warmth, decor (fresh...

”The room was large and spacious. Did not have luggage racks I was used to. Otherwise, clean facilities and nice staff.”

”We spent the night after a wedding in nearby Northampton. It was a lovely place to return to at the end of a long day. We enjoyed our breakfast the following morning, both the buffet selections (especially the coffee cake muffins) as well as our conversation with staff member Kristen. We always try to support small businesses in the places where we travel and the Dasniel Stebbins House did not disappoint!”
