It was a great place for a family gathering. We took advantage of kayaks, cornhole, and pool table. Everything was clean, grass mowed, and fire pit ready to go. ”Once booked, I had nothing but great communication with Karen the owner. She left a lovely note about the history of the home and how it has been in her family since it was built. It was built in 1902 and is an older home, but it gives a great feeling of what it is to live in the hills of West Virginia. Her Mom welcomed us and visited to make sure we had everything we needed. ”Great place, very clean and plenty or room for all of us”

”We loved this house, located on the river next to the general store. The owners are extremely welcoming. Each of my three kids had their own room, which they were thrilled about. The general store had fantastic breakfasts and desserts. The house is right down the road from one of the national park visitors centers. ”The place provides what we needed. It had multiple bedrooms and the kids little play room was used by our sons more than expected. It is an old place that could definitely use a little facelift. The property was nice and on a creek with a fire pit. My five year old loved the creek and catching crawfish. Overall no complaints and I would go back with my five year old.”
