Le Buffet de la Gare: Air-Conditioned Cottage in the Heart of Périgord Pourpre

Le Buffet de la Gare, with foundations dating back to 1830, is steeped in rich history. Between 1926 and 1930, it underwent major renovations to welcome travelers on the railway line. Its exterior has retained all its old-world charm, nostalgically recalling the golden age of rail.



In the past, the building housed a restaurant, a bar, a hotel, and railway workers’ accommodation.

Located in Périgord Pourpre, famous for its vineyards and bastide towns (Eymet, Issigeac), the cottage is the perfect base to explore the region’s treasures. Enjoy a wide range of cultural and sporting activities, and visit iconic castles such as Bridoire, Monbazillac, and Lanquais.



Comfort and tranquility

The air-conditioned cottage, attached to the owners’ house, offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere. You have access to a shared 500 m² garden (not fenced) behind the house with a peaceful area (wooden terrace, table and chairs, hanging chairs under the plane tree), as well as a private terrace at the front, so you can make the most of the surroundings. Water filter removes limescale.

Ground floor:

A spacious 40 m² living area with a comfortable lounge, bright dining space, and a fully equipped kitchen (oven, washing machine, dryer, microwave, dishwasher, stove).



First floor:

Two cozy bedrooms, each with a double bed (160x200 cm) that can be separated. A modern bathroom with shower and toilet completes the sleeping area.



Enjoy a garden lounge and parasol in front of the cottage, a shaded relaxation spot at the back with private access, and private parking in front.
