”Location and distance to the beach were best qualities ”

”There was no pool”

”The shower had a fold down bench which was nice for a Senior but having the separate hand held shower head mounted next to the seat was awkward. There was also a shower head on the opposite wall. The pool and hot tub area was closed at dusk which was disappointing. Also, at 10:30 am the breakfast was cold considering service was available until 11 am. The coffee at that time was cold. The waitress was helpful but the coffee was bad. Our room was in the new wing and it was beautifully appointed.”

”The keyless check in was a disaster, consuming much pre-arrival customer time, only to be overridden with a physical key being issued in the end. Obtaining the key required traveling to a sister hotel over a mile away. We were told "They were having internet problems". The coffee machine had a cup of stale coffee in the overflow well. There was poor communication in the room about the location of items like the ice machine. It turns out the machine was a block away in a separate building. And so...

”The beach is the only thing that makes the place worth it, floors are filthy bathrooms not cleaned. Specially bathroom floor looked like it had never been cleaned. Stove didn’t work was not able to cook in it after buying food to cook had to eat out.”

”The room smelled like mold. There was a cockroach in a pool. But staff was very friendly. Breakfast was only coffee and juice.”

”The Water Street Hotel and Marina is a lovely place to stay. Very spacious rooms with full kitchen and a lovely balcony facing the river. While we were there, it was very quiet and peaceful. The pool area is also comfortable, clean and quiet. This was more like a condo than a hotel. I especially loved the lighted mirrors in the bathrooms. That was a nice touch. It is within walking distance to restaurants and shops and don’t forget to get your biscuit from the Biscuit Factory in the mornings....
