Perfect Poconos Getaway

Two adults, 4 teen boys (19,16). The ping pong table, hot tub, and walking distance to Island Pool (lake, kayak rental, sports equipment rental) were a big hit. Full kitchen and outdoor grill for cooking. Lots of room to spread out. Response property manager. The lodge is a 5 minute drive with pool tables. Close to grocery. Chiminea in front for roasting marshmallows. Wonderful getaway with my boys. Definitely recommend.

Nice place!

We had seen this place a few years earlier when a family member rented it for their family, and it was great for us, too. I love that linens were included (really cuts down on the packing!), and everything was clean and comfortable. The pictures don't do justice to just how big the place is; we were just a few adults and a couple of kids, but it would be great for several adults and/or teens with that cavernous basement! Thanks for a good trip!

Great place and location

Overall, we were very happy with the place and the location. Sonny was very responsive to any requests and questions. The only issue was the beds were noisy when you sat on them or rolled over.

Fantastic house in the perfect spot!

This was the perfect house for our group (2 families of 4) because there is a huge basement with a full bathroom so everyone could have their own space. Also, the first floor is a big open concept room with high ceilings (felt like it was actually a lot nicer than the pictures!). Was a very short walk to the Island pool, which the kids loved. Lake beach was also great, and we had fun roasting marshmallows in the fire pit in the front yard. We would definitely stay here again. The only cons for us were that the bed in the master bedroom was very uncomfortable (needs new pillows and new mattress!) and the hot tub didn't work while we were there. However, Sonny was very responsive in trying to help us get it to work, sent out someone to check as soon as possible, and just wasn't able to get it fixed in time because of our short stay. Thanks for a great vacation!

house worked well for us.

The house had a big open living room area with a large comfortable couch. It made it very pleasant to stay there. There was lots of room for the baby to crawl around. The deck was shaded in the afternoon and was a nice to place to sit. We took full advantage of the pools that were just down the street.

Great house, great location, great host!

Everything about our family trip to the Poconos this time around was truly wonderful. The house was very clean, centrally located, and well-stocked with everything we needed to leave our cares behind for a week. The host is very communicative and committed to ensuring that you have everything you need to enjoy your stay at his property. We had one question when we first arrived, and he called back within 30 minutes with the answer! The property is a 3-minute walk to a great pool/playground and a short drive to many other ALC amenities. Highly recommend!

Spacious Escape

This is a beautiful, well-appointed and incredibly spacious property that was perfect for a family with teens! The bedroom and bathroom in the basement allowed for privacy for the boys while the girls enjoyed their own bathroom and bedroom upstairs. Needless to say, the ping pong table was a hit! The kitchen had everything we could need to cook big dinners and breakfasts! The owner is incredibly responsive! Will definitely return!

Long weekend getaway

Property was clean and spacious for 4 adults and 4 kids. Easy check in and check out. Listing and pictures were accurate. We Loved the hot tub. Movies and games there for kids is a plus. The basement was actually larger than expected which was great for the kids to have their own space and play on the rainy day we had. Loved having conveniences of home available to us making life easier and less packing for a 3 night stay … linens, towels, utensils and cookware to use. Lots of things to do in the community. Thank you for hosting us. We enjoyed our holiday weekend

Amazing!

We were looking for a family friendly fun getaway. We got that and so much more. There were so many activities available to do between the beaches and pools. You can rent canoes and there are events going on at night to attend as well. We will definitely be back again next year!

Clean, comfortable, lots of space

We really enjoyed staying here. The house was very open and comfortable and it had everything that we needed. We cooked all of our meals in the kitchen and spent a lot of time in the big, open living room. The basement rec area was great and the teenagers with us spent a lot of time down there hanging out and playing ping pong. The weather was really bad so we weren't able to enjoy all that the association offered, but we walked to the pool area many times and saw an outdoor concert. The hot tub at the house was also great with lots of towels to use. The host was very nice and made sure we had everything in place. He made himself available during our stay but we didn't need to contact him for anything. I would definitely recommend staying at this house!

Great location, just as pictured

Very clean and just as pictured. Easy walk to Island pool and boating area. Great outdoor fire pit and large hot tub. Three nice pools and playgrounds, four beaches very nearby. Friendly lake community.

Great week in the Poconos

The house is nicely kept and the hot tub out back was awesome. Location is great with a walk to the Island beach where there are tennis courts, a pool, canoe/kayak rentals, and a kids play area. Great fishing spots all around. Make sure you have your PA fishing license, though, as the Fish and Wildlife people do patrol and will cite you if you do not have your license on display.

Excellent clean house. Great location

Very nice house, clean. Beautiful spacious leaving room. We stayed here in summer and AC worked great in all of the house. Water in the house was very clean, we had no issues at all. Location is great, you can walk to a heated pool (Island Pool), which is great for families, we especially enjoyed separate heated baby pool. Sunny is a great host, responsive and easy to communicate with. We would stay there again.

Overall not bad

The house was spacious and the owner was readily available. We mentioned wanting to bbq and he left a full propane tank for us. The air conditioning being remotely monitored was a little annoying . Every 6 hours or so it would move to 78 degrees , not a comfortable temperature . Bring your own bed sheets the ones provided kept sliding off. Overall we were pleased with our stay and the owner was accommodating .

Lovely Getaway Spot

The house is immaculate and had everything we needed and more. The hot tub was great and we enjoyed the grill and deck. Communication with the property manager was top notch. You can't go wrong with this rental.

this was a beautiful rental for a getaway. sonny was very helpful and constantly had excellent communication with me. the pictures dont do this place justice its really huge and alot of room for relaxing. will be coming back for sure !

A wonderful stay

The house is big and comfortable. The whole family enjoyed 2 weeks spent over there. Linen and a lot of towels were provided. The kitchen was stock, however some plates had cracks. The AC worked perfectly, but it was pretty cold in the basement, and we had to turn on a heater for night time in the children's bunk room. The hot tube was a hit - a lot of fun for adults and children. Overall impression is good and I will recomend this house for sure.

Our first time!

This is our first time renting through VRBO and not our last. The process was easy to navigate and the listing was as noted. The house has a great open floor plan and a ton of additional space in the lower level. The best part was the proximity to amenities including pool, boat rental, lake, tennis courts, etc. The property owner was very open and communicated every detail from the process of signing up for amenities to texting to ensure we were able to check in with no issues. If you're looking for a mountain getaway with a comfortable space and lots for families, this is your place!

Overall great, except

The property was very well kept and there were plenty extras items in the house to make it feel like home. We enjoyed the hot tub, pingpong and BBQ. The location was ideal to get to the island pools and lake. Couple of negatives: The mattresses were very soft and the bed frame in the small room could use replacing The tap water is brown. Owner provides filtered water for consumption, but the brown water cannot be avoided in the sinks, showers and laundry. Overall, I'd probably stay there again
