”All good. On my way out I had a quick lunch at Pembroke. To my surprise, a corner table - with the sofa - has water dripping on the couch, from the ceiling, probably A/C. It didn’t affect me but judging by the damage on the cushion surface, it’s been there for a while ”

”The unusual thing about the River Inn is literally every employee, front desk, bellman, food service & room cleaning go out of their way to be friendly and extremely helpful. Even the small things, heading toward the elevator? They push the call button. Need hot water? Here it is. Need a recommendation? They ask a couple of questions and you get all the details. Heading for the door? Anybody in the vicinity opens it. Don't see this as consistently at the Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton!”

”Nice area right next to Georgetown. A short walk from the metro station, which will take you everywhere in DC for 2$ per ride. The hotel rooms are comfortable, Christmas brunch was excellent and the service was what one can expect in a 4 star hotel. Santa had left a Christmas bag for my daughter, which was a nice surprise. The gym, sauna and pool were much appreciated, though the pool is rather small.”

The beds are extremely comfortable! The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Please note that there is no free parking (it is D.C.), and the valet was expensive at $55/day.”

"I picked this hotel mainly for its convenient location near the national mall. However I was surprised by the sheer quality of the hotel in and of itself. The room was nice and the bed really comfortable. The Ipad was also a great way to control all aspects of the room conveniently! I didn‘t try out the breakfast or other dining opportunities nor the hotel gym, so rating those aspects is rather difficult. Otherwise the hotel was in total a really great one and definetly where I‘d stay if I come back to D.C in the future! "
