Bonner Bridge is one of North Carolina's most well known man-made structures of it's kind (The Linn Cove Viaduct on the Blue Ridge Parkway is probably the most well known). This location makes for a great getaway at the Outerbanks to spend an entire day (and night). The location is popular for fishing and is ideal for landscape and astro photography. You can have lots of fun on some of the dunes, although getting the sand out afterwards is a big hassle.

This is one of my favorite images from this location. I love the warm light tones and the shadows that create a contrast in the foreground sand. It is created from a single exposure with only minor modifications made to adjust overall contrast and brightness.

If you are interested in wildlife, the Pea Island Wildlife Refuge is nearby and is a very popular location.

”This place was great. The ocean view, even from the 3rd floor, was fantastic. You can watch the sun rise from the sofa and watch it set from the hall/balcony. We stayed in unit 303 which had a full bath with shower/sink/toilet and a half bath with a toilet and a sink in a separate area which was neat. ”The condo (room 1501) itself was great with just a few minor inconveniences. The master bathroom when the toilet was flushed would keep running, we would flush it 1 or 2 more times and it would stop.
