”I had chosen this hotel based on its 4.5-star reviews, but I found its actual quality to be closer to a 2-star establishment. The room was quite unappealing and cramped, smelled really bad with visible mold, and lacked essential amenities such as a blow dryer, an iron, and coffee. ”We stayed there two nights during our roadtrip. The hotel was quite nice. We had to be in contact to the hotel beforehand several times, since the reception closes already at 5pm. The rooms were spacious but a bit worn out, our friends bathroom door was stucked, but luckily the staff was still there when it happened. There was an odd moldy odour in the room. Otherwise the location was good, near the ocean and Monterey and the center of Pacific Grove can be easily reached by bus or by car. ”
