”The look and the old genuine feeling of the hotel is what makes it special. This really looks and feels like a modarnized old chinese Palace. The location is good with short walk for shopping and old Town. The hotel is comfortable, but compared to a new modern hotel it's less comfortable. The shower has low water pressure, and the toilet could hardly flush. But things worked.”

”The stay at Fairmont Beijing exceeded our expectations. The room was really big (over 40 sqm) with a super king size bed, massive windows, a sofa bed, armchair, coffee table, a great massage chair, a working table and 2 extra chairs. We had a coffee machine and a kettle with plenty of Voss water, abundantly replenished daily. The bathroom was massive, with a bathtub, shower room with 3 settings and two sinks. The toilet seat had seat heating and cleaning functions. Plus there was a dressing room...

”Gracie Art Hotel was a very comfortable and convenient place to stay for my short visit to Beijing. It is located right on the edge of the 798 Art Zone which offers a lot, although it seemed like most attractions close pretty early and the lighting on the paths late at night is very dim. The staff was very helpful in checking me in and ordering cabs and finding late night food or drinks. Would recommend!”

”Was given wrong type of room, twice before this was sorted. All three rooms were dusty, behind and on the television and other fittings as well as the carpet. Went for lunch on our first day in the lobby 'bar'. Ordered, waited 20 minutes and then was told later our order was out of stock. Same thing happened when we re-ordered, one burger was brought out and then we were told there were none left. Hot springs were dirty, KFC delivery left everywhere! Not very impressed”
