”My fiancée and I stayed at a ryokan for the first time, and Ryokan Rangetsu couldn't have been a better experience! We stayed for one night, and when it was time to leave, we wished we had stayed longer. The ryokan is truly beautiful, and the staff is very attentive and friendly. Our room maid, whose name we regrettably cannot remember, was polite and made our visit feel truly special. Our room was spacious, clean and cozy, and the backyard very beautiful. We also enjoyed the outdoor bath a lot!...

The views of Osaka were beautiful, the breakfast was timely and delicious, and there were complimentary drinks including fresh juice and wine. ”If you want to experience traditional ryokan with fabulous meals, this is the place for you. It is a bit dated like visiting your relative’s house in the small town. It’s surrounded by maple forest, like living in a nice cabin. This is not modern hotel, if you set your expectation right, you will not be disappointed. All the stuffs are so kind and warm. They are great people dedicated to their jobs and it makes me want to visit Kyoto again.”

”Lovely, quiet ryokan. Beautifull small garden. Lot of young travellers. Cozy kind of youth hostel. With taxis and busses one can reach whatever place. Lovely personel, except the owner whose moods vary a lot depending on alcohol intake. In three nights the mouldproblem in specially naths started to produce healthinfluencies. No smoking-place and in that meaning very pleasant.”

”If you are looking for a traditional ryokan experience, then this is the ryokan for you. The ryokan provided comfortable yukata for guests to wear including to breakfast and the kaiseki, hosted in a beautiful restaurant with views of the garden. The traditional Japanese breakfast (included in price of stay) was different and delicious each morning, and the kaiseki was a unique experience, although expensive. The tatami beds were comfortable and the barrel style tub in the room was delightful....

”We had a pleasant stay at the Yachiyo ryokan that gave the taste of Japanese accomodation characteristics. Service was fairly smooth and the whole place was really tidy although maybe slightly outdated. The location was not super central but on the other hand it provided easy access to the Path of Philosophy, some temples and museum of modern art which btw had an exquisite Katagami exhibition at the time (recommend). Food was not included on our ryokan package so cannot comment on that.”

”The host is very welcoming and enthusiastic to share places around. This is a traditional Japanese style living on tatami and Japanese futon along with a shared public bath. You will have the best rest sleeping on those futon in this quiet neighborhood. 7-11, Daiso, coin laundry and buses to major attractions are all within 5min of walk. ”

"The Blossom Kyoto oli laadukas ja siisti hotelli, joka sopi tarpeisiimme moitteitta. Hotellin oma onsen oli hieno lisä palveluihin! Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä ja avuliasta. Miinuspuolena hotellihuoneen siivous vain kolmen päivän välein, tällä välillä vain roskat vietiin ja pyyhkeet vaihdettiin."

"The hotel is located nicely in the middle of a shopping area and not too far from 2 different subway lines. Only downside with the location is that a taxi cant really get right infront of the hotel but it's not a long walk (3 minutes) from the closest drop off location. Checking in and out is easy and quick with the self service desks and there is staff to help if you require assistance. Didnt have much interraction with the staff except for one at reception and the cleaning staff of the floor and all were very friendly. Only downside (for me) was how hard the bed was but that's a preference thing. With all that said unless the hotel prices itself out it will stay on my radar for when I come to Kyoto again (6 days is not enough!)."
