”This hotel was probably great in its heyday. Unfortunately, it is a shell of what it once was. Time to close it down and fix it up. It smells old with wafting mildew, the water pressure is pathetic the showers and curtain are archaic, the bathtub was chipped, and the no slip strips were old and dirty. the bathroom robes and sheets are made of polyester, the pillows were made of thin foam. And get this: you need to call the front desk to get an elevator to go up and down since it’s a manually...

”The location of this historic hotel was perfection. Situated in the heart of picturesque Montpelier we had a view of the gold domed state building and were able to walk to enticing shops, restaurants and the weekly farmers market. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff was very personable, helpful and welcoming. Although this is an older property with some dated features the staff, cleanliness, comfort and location makes it a property to visit again. ”
